Paul Lee was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He was privately educated, and is quoted as saying that his greatest achievement in life was "surviving being taught by Jesuits."
He has followed a varied career path involving jobs as diverse as civil servant, night club manager....and crisp salesman in Spain.
He had always felt that he would like to have a go at making a living as a crime writer, but like many people; life's responsibilities and pressures held him back.
However, in 2012, despite not being in the position to have his work professionally formatted and edited, or the cover designed [ NB Author Note: Don't make these mistakes!!] he decided to take the plunge, and his first book: "Defending Joe"* a gritty crime story set in Glasgow, came out...and did exceptionally well. Paul was on his way.
In 2013 Paul moved to Malta and his second novel: "The Maltese Orphans" was launched in Sept 2014; with the second book in his 'Thea Spiteri' series: "The Maltese Dahlia" following in 2015. The third Spiteri novel: "The Maltese Hunter" following in Nov 2016....*along with an edited, formatted 'Defending Joe' being republished, with a new cover !!, and re-titled as "The Initial Blow."
