As for the quality of writing: so-so. If you have read any of the revisited books, you may have noticed the flavor and style seems to have dropped off. This is the same.
The content is just a regurgitation of what is in the Monster Manual. It added in a few extras, but overall not worth your time if you are truly into undead. Stick with the bestiary. It has your templates and all the undead you need. If you are looking for flair to add to your campaign, I would suggest getting your hands on a copy of "Libris Mortis" or just read some classic novels or watch some classic movies. (Think of the end of Jason and the Argonauts)
After purchasing Undead Rev. I have decided I will not buy anymore "revisited" books.
This time up, the lineup of the ten creatures explored includes bodaks, devourers, gaveknights, liches, mohrgs, nightshades, raveners, shadows, spectral dead (spectres, wraiths, banshees, and allips), and wights. Some of the creatures come from the Bestiary 2 or even the Bestiary 3, but all are explained in a way that doesn't leave you wondering what the text is talking about if you don't have these supplements. From bodaks who pluck out people's eyes to decorate their lairs to undead dragons wreathed in mystical soul energy, Undead Revisited provides new ideas for anybody, whether you play Pathfinder or another RPG.
