Kevin Beresford has written this in the same style as his two roundabouts books, though this has more writing. This bok has the same coffee table appeal as the roundabout books and it leaves me wondering why if we can build great car parks, do we so often have to settle for terrible ones.

This was bought as a secret santa gift for someone in my office - it has lots of pictures of car parks in it, together with text descriptions which to be quite frank I find a bit weird and disturbing. I mean, car parks people?? Really?? Whatever floats your boat. I'm more of a bus spotter myself.....

p.s. I wont say too much to protect the identities of the innocent, but we do deal with transport policies and strategies for a living, so don't be scared.

This could have been a very boring book, but is written with an ingenuous sense of humour and gets full marks for effort and outspoken originality.

The author describes venues from John O'Groats to Lands End, covering most major cities in mainland Britain. Each venue is given two pages. Completely trivial, but quite interesting nonetheless. Light entertainment.
