Expensive for an enthusiast like me as it is a tool for professionals. Maybe the best of its kind.

HASH(0x91bb4168) out of 5 stars A very professional tool 24 Sept. 2014

This is a pretty killer tool. I debated between this one and the lighter, smaller, consumer version. I opted for this, but wow, it's pretty big and heavy. It really does grab the cogs in a way the typical chain tool does not. However, I suspect the lighter, cheaper tool is more than sufficient for most users.

HASH(0x914d2d5c) out of 5 stars Best cassette whip available! 18 Jun. 2013

My family owns seven bikes from a $50 Walmart bike for my small son to my two high end carbon fiber dual suspension mountain bikes. Over the last twenty years I have tried many different cassette whips to remove cogs and perform freehub maintenance. This still remains my favorite model above all other competitors. The SR 2.2 is about 15 inches long for great leverage and will fit correctly even on 11 speed Dura Ace or Campagnolo Super Record cassettes. Its vinyl handle and superior fit allow for easy cassette grip while removing the lockring. I know of no other tool that is superior (including my Pedros Vize lock ring grips). While it is typically about $20 more than other Park Tools whips, and is billed as a 'shop tool', the ease of use is worth it. An added bonus is that this model is actually a Made in the USA item from the Park Tools plant in St. Paul, MN.

For me, this is the one whip to rule them all. Five stars.

HASH(0x9164342c) out of 5 stars Best chain whip I'm aware of 8 April 2016
By Steve Holt - Published on Amazon.com

I'm generally a fan of Park's products and this certainly met my expectations. Unless you're using it very frequently, a less expensive, consumer grade whip like Park's SR-1, SR-11 or SR-18 will more than suffice, but they won't be as nice to use and amortized over the amount of time you're likely to own this, the additional cost is irrelevant. The piece of chain is bolted on such that it could be removed, the leverage is excellent and the tool is extremely comfortable. Nothing to improve upon with this that I can think of. It is very much a shop tool and not very portable, however, which may be a detractor to some folks.

Nothing like a park tool, Heavy duty and works great. I'm a bike tech and use it everyday. I use it to remove rear cogs
