It was almost impossible to put this book down until the very end - each chapter left me hungry for more. Lexie's unbearable grief when she loses Ash is only equalled by her later desperate hope that she may not have lost him after all. Every poignant and sinister twist had me completely captivated. The plot was entirely believeable - even when it entered the realms of the paranormal, at no time did if lose its credibility nor its ability to engage and enthral. More please!

I loved the central metaphor that gave the book its title and the fact that it was so subtly introduced. I also enjoyed the nods to another tale in this genre, 'The Tell Tale Heart.' Most impressive for a first novel and I look forward to the next!

A compelling and at times chilling story of a young woman's journey through grief and into realms of the paranormal. Paper Rain is original, imaginative and comtemporary. Highly recommended .

A super book by a great story-teller. I'm so glad that I struggled with the technology - Paper Rain makes it all worth while! A complete page turner, I read it all in one sitting and then started again, more slowly, to enjoy it more. Come on, Debbie - more books please ...
