It was awesome; the graphics looked nice and neat, the unexpected plot twists were possibly leaving me in tears and the overall gameplay was consistent. Highly recommend to everyone and anyone!!

This has been one of the most enjoyable games that I have played in a long time. Right now there are 4 files being played concurrently in our house, 7 y/o, 9 y/o, 12 y/o and a 40+ y/o. The entire game is so charming and whimsical. It is a constant treasure hunt.
There have been complaints about the combat, but it fits so well, as it is so puzzle based that at no point did the combat feel like a burden. Each of the boss battles have been interesting and unique, and they have actually been a challenge.
One of the most impressive things about this game, that I wish more games would incorporate is a smart difficulty scale. So as an example there was one of those 9x9 grid puzzles which I can never do, there is an option to get a hint, or to have the puzzle complete. On another puzzle, after failing 2 times, some of the extra options were removed, and in another instance, the correct options were highlighted a different colour. Further you can get hints and help for any of the battles. And unlike most of every other assist character Olivia actually gives interesting and funny tips for where to go next.
I have actually laughed out loud at a lot of the dialogue. This should be seen as a puzzle based adventure, and not really a true RPG in the sense that people harking back to the 1,000 year door would. This game is a perfect escape from all the stress in the real world, and it also happens to be the perfect length (15 - 20 hours I reckon).

This game was a Christmas present and I've been enjoying with my children and husband, we all sit together and voice the characters. It's fun, bright and colourful though at times it can be a little sad which I don't remember of any of the other paper Mario games. Some of the combat can be very easy at first but not like that all the way through, and there is plenty to do and explore which is great.
Olivia is the best partner ever! I usually find Mario's partners a little annoying but Olivia is fun and excitable and cute!
Thousand year door for GameCube was always my favourite, followed by colour splash for Wii u, I've not played N64 original and the Wii one was a bit dull! But this one just edqes to top spot for being so vivid and interesting!
Also love the nod to Legend of Zelda that happens in a part of the game!

Great little game new to paper mario I was on the fence about purchasing this at first due to bad reviews.

I decided to give it a go and glad I did its great for all ages not too taxing great for casual gamers like myself.

So I'd say give it a go the battles are a little annoying at times but it still doesn't ruin the game at all.

I like it would recommend it for all.

I saw so many bad reviews of this game online, specially from some YouTubers, but I have to say that I'm completely in love with the game.

Graphic are stunning, dialogues are funny, gameplay is entertaining, Olivia is a great companion. Yes, battle system is a bit tricky at the beginning, but nothing that can't be mastered.

I highly recommend this game.

Fantastic story driven Mario title, really funny and heart warming in places, it also has fantastic graphics and great music, with shredding guitars and violins. I'm about 10 hours in and still really enjoying it. As there is a lot of reading I would suggest this for older Mario fans or kids 10 and up

I actually enjoyed this much more than Super Mario Odyssey, despite reviews generally favoring it over Origami King. I’ve never played any of the paper Mario series games, and this was my first, and I loved it! Also, not sure why this particular listing says that the game is in Spanish; I played it entirely in English, and the game case was also all in English.

The only thing I did not like about this game is that the battles started getting really repetitive. Every now and then I enjoy the challenge of the logic puzzle involved in figuring the battles out, but sometimes it reminded me of how Pokémon would pop up too frequently in unavoidable grassy patches before you could use Repels. I digress.

The graphics are SO adorable, and the story line is really cute too. There was a part where I even almost teared up because of how emotionally invested I got in these silly characters. It actually seemed pretty deep for a “kids” game sometimes. I ended up beating the game in about two weeks while working full time lol. I’m now tempted to go back and play the other games in the paper Mario series.
