Debated for ages about paying the extra for the GT20 over the G20. In the end I went for it and although it cost £300 more the 3D is awesome!! The cost is also offset by the free 3D blu ray player, 2 x 3D glasses and 4 x 3D blu rays including Avatar.

Picture in the house is phenomenal... in the shop the LED's look brighter but when you get them home they are too bright and make normal t.v look almost cartoon like. Got mine connected to SKY and on both HD and 3D the picture is something else. Watched a football match tonight in HD and it was snowing.... WOW!! You could see every flake!!

Is 3D going to be the future? I don't know but I wasn't going to risk missing the boat and this T.V is fantastic taking away its 3D capability!

I just bought this TV and im really glad i did, amazing picture quality very easy to set up and lots of options, and the 3D effects are amazing, maybe a gimmick to some, but only time will tell if it really takes off.
At the time i bought mine the amazon price is abit high(December 2010),i got a far better deal from Johnlewis for nearly the same price i got the Tv with 5 years extended warranty and 3DBluray player with 2 years warranty and 2 sets of glasses and 4 3D Bluray films,Avatar3D,IceAge,Coraline,Paul Carrack..i think anyone buying a Panasonic 3d Tv at the moment can get the films by going to the panasonic website and downloading the order form, the offer ends 31th of january 2011.
Is the TV worth the money,it is to me as im a major geek and 3d gaming and 3d movies are something i really enjoy,to others maybe wait for the price to drop or see if the 3D blu rays take off.

I bought this TV over samsung le40c750 because of the input lag on the tv that sometimes becomes annoying when playing ps3 or watching tv so I contacted samsung and got a R/A number which I then took to the shop and exchaged for this TV. Before I was going to buy this TV I did a long research and found that majority of the people were saying its brilliant because it has a really good contrast and very good dark levels and no input lag at all. Also, its 3D is the best in the market right now; I definitely agree that becuase it has no input lag and no ghosting at all. So I was confident this TV is going to be great and went to the shop and bought this. When I started the tv the SD channels were 10 times uglier than my Samsung le40c750. This is because the image was so dark and becuase of the pixelation you coudn't see any detail when it goes into the long-angle shot; even after doing some twitching with the settings. I ignored that and said to myself it might be the 50hz problem in Panny plasmas. Then I went onto the HD and even though the picure quality was better and you could see more detail, the image was still dark and the same problem of losing detail in long shots was present; the problems my dear Samsung never had. Then I was annoyed. I tried my PS3 on it and the quality was good and smooth with no input lag - actually I enjoyed gaming on it, even in 3D. However, the cons of this tv outweigh its pros because they are more important for a TV so I will go back to my Samsung le40c750 as it is has way better and brighter sd and hd quality and 3d is good with a little bit of input lag. One more thing, you can sometimes notice a nosie coming from the tv aswell as judder in the picture wich can ruin picture quality; these problems are minor and you can probaby live that.Read more ›

I traded in my 37 inch Panasonic lcd for this. I shouldn't have bothered. The way it was pitched to me in the shop & having read the reviews on Amazon, I thought I can't go wrong. I cannot fault the picture for 3d, fantastic after buying a blu ray/3d player, but that's as good as it gets! Watching tv through my sky hd box or freeview was a huge letdown! The picture is dull, not at all vibrant as said. Even after going through the picture set up and advanced set up, reading the manual, trawling through the internet for possible solutions, it remained bland, dark and lifeless. I can only scratch my head now, or wait for an engineer (or replacement) to explain what's going on. I know this may be expected from plasma screens, but the reflection is another negative. Extremely irritating after being used to a non reflective lcd screen! The sound...forget it. If you haven't got an amp, don't bother..it's useless. Sorry to sound negative, but after buying this in the hope it would be the 'bees knees', I've been left very frustrated!

I looked around for a while and having decided to get a new TV, I thought it was worth getting one that had 3D as well as being a better full HD TV. I was eventually swayed by a Which comparison, which put this TV near the top for 3D and because it seems that the consensus is that Plasma screens are better at eliminating the crosstalk that many LCD screens get - like the Samsung 3D TVs.

I was quite prepared to be disappointed by 3D, given that there has been so much hype and the industry needed something new to boost sales. However, I was totally blown away by the whole 3D experience on this TV!

I settled down to try 3D out with Ocean Wonderland - (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray) [2003] and this is really like you are there scuba diving in the coral. The long slow tracking shots draw you in and the detail is truly stunning! I have seen reviews where people have said that the effect is mostly behind the screen - but while watching this - marine creatures floated in mid-air in front of my TV and moved towards me! The other thing I had heard was that 3D would only be in standard definition as the signal was split - but this was not the case, the definition was incredibly sharp and as good as the best HD picture, while allowing you to experience the depth of everything.

As a further comparison, I tried Alice in Wonderland (Blu-ray 3D) [2010] - this was not quite as successful and dark moments, confused my vision or the glasses and it became difficult to see what was going on - but when the action got going it was again truly magical.
