|LED Display Technology: LED (light-emitting diode) TVs are actually a type of LCD TV. LCD HDTVs use standard compact fluorescent tubes to illuminate the picture. LED HDTVs, on the other hand, replace those fluorescent tubes with backlighting technology. LED TVs might therefore say "LCD display" on the packaging--this is perfectly normal. enable a change be it volume or channel. There are also quirky differences in the way the Guide function operates in that when a channel is changed in this mode it is by selecting Exit rather than OK which is not too intuitive nor as my other Panasonic TV does. I have had it several weeks now and I still cannot get used to these differences and I am convinced that there is a "bug" in their remote programming which they seem unable to admit to. I should say that the picture and sound quality are exemplary with probably few equals in a TV of this type.
I have several pieces of Panasonic equipment all of which function faultlessly so I will continue to use them wherever possible. However I wish I had avoided this particular model of TV and while most people may accept these unusual features there will no doubt be many who, like myself, are frustrated with how it operates and with Panasonic's attitude.
Only slight drawback is maybe the sound quality. A little light-weight, but most smaller TVs tend to suffer likewise.
Definitely worth the (significant) extra if you can afford it.
Do not regret the purchase though, Good job I did not pay full high street prices for it.
Very pleased with this t.v. bought at a bargain price. Although described as a Warehouse Deal - Used-Very Good, the unit is brand spanking new. Great deal.
