Great Budget LCD TV

I bought this TV from the results published in the latest report on LCD and Plasma TV's from Which? This TV is a Which? Best Buy. I live in a poor reception area and my antenna is in the attic and it has no problem tuning in all channels. The electronic program guide (EPG) is excellent and the Teletext is fast. The remote control has large buttons which may be a plus for some people. There is also a slot for pay-tv cards for TopUp TV or Setanta Sports. The overall design is very well thought out and the pictures on Amazon don't do it justice as the stand and LCD surround are in gloss black. Overall I'm very please with my purchase as it has transformed the family's whole viewing experience and the old Playstation2 games, such as Pro Evo Soccer 3, have been given a new lease of life. The Panasonic TX-32LXD80 is a great budget TV.

This is a brilliant tv picture quality really good and of course its Panasonic I read up a lot of reviews before purchasing this. My daughter can tell you more as she hogs the remote. But I would recommend to a friend. It came well packed and delivery was good Ive had no trouble with this tv and we had it a couple of years now.

Quality Tv for the money

The picture is absolutely superb even without HD. Guide very useful to browse through what's on rather than trawl through paperTV guides.
Some difficulty (it won't do it!) regarding recording digital programmes via my (panasonic) VCR/DVD machine but timer programming direct from TV works fine. Panasonic are emailing me with info how to record & if my VCR/DVD COMBI machine is compatible with my new TV-hope it is, that's why i bought Panasonic so they can 'talk' to each other.
Anyway, that apart, i'm very happy with my purchase & even though it's quite heavy it isn't as cumbersome as the wide screen, wide back to front tv's of yore.
Amazingly easy set-up, my dog could have done it.
If in doubt Buy it!
Ps I don't work for Panasonic but they are the best.

Pleasantly Surprised

Looking through the internet trying to decide on which television I should buy to replace our 26" Sony Bravia, the Panasonic brand kept coming up as the best. The Panasonic TX-32LXD80 seemed such a good buy and such a good price too. It arrived this morning, I unpacked it, put it in its place, plugged it in together with all the necessary cables (DVD player & Sky+HD Box) and switched it on. The television immediately begun to set itself up by scanning for stations etc. All this took minutes and I had to do virtually nothing - Great. Once it had settled down I switched it to Sky and was amazed at how much clearer and crisper the picture was. Then I tried HD, WOW. If this is a Panasonic entry level television, what can the better models be like???

To say I was pleasantly surprised is a gross understatement. This really is a beautiful television, both in quality of picture and design. Some people say the sound is a bit tinny, but I totally disagree, the sound is just right and anyway, if you were not happy with the sound you can alter it if you wish.

Summing up then; this is a brilliant television and I have no hesitation in awarding it 5 Stars.

CAN I FAULT IT - NO!!

Bought this to replace our old Sony CRT that decided to die just before Christmas - good job we had more pressing issues of remembering what Christmas is all about - and we have not looked back. Did extensive research for an introduction to LCD TV's, and what I have seen leads me to believe that this is a fantastic bit of kit.
Got it connected to a Sony DVD surround sound system and it looks and sounds superb. It really is imposible to believe that this is just an 'introduction' level TV. I WILL* be getting a 42" Plasma in the future; but for now. WOW It's good!
* Please don't tell my wife yet!!

I had done a fair bit of research including Which Magazin where this product came with good reviews. The TV is everything we expected and is now wall mounted and of excellent qualiity and finish.

Our purchase was before christmas knowing the deliver was going to be post-christmas. However the TV was unexpectingly delivery earlier and a nice christmas supprise.

The only worrying aspect was that when the courier delivered the goods, we were not at home and the couriers let our next doors 11-year old sign for and retain the goods.

This TV is the latest state of the art piece of kit. They don't come any better for the size. Apart from being at the top of the range outlined in the 'Which Magazine comparison review it really is the business to watch. Crystal clear imaging makes even the best old type TV's look blurred by comparison.
Sound! now where's that crystal clear sound coming from? ah I know it's got to be 3D sound! how do they do that. You are not just watching this TV you are really there amongst it all, no kidding. Just a few bob dearer than most of the others but it rates accordingly on performance.
