The Ultimate Cooking Performance
The Panasonic NN-CT562MBPQ is made for kitchens with limited space and combines the efficiency of a microwave with the traditional browning and roasting of a conventional oven to ensure that your meal choice is endless. The convection oven offers a huge temperature range, 100-220°C, which ensures the success when cooking anything from meringues, cakes and pastries to Yorkshire Puddings and roast joints. In addition, the versatility that the Convection Oven and Grill provide, results in many greater options and methods for your preparation of food, while significantly reducing the cooking time by half to two thirds. The sleek and stylish stainless steel is not only for aesthetics but also hygiene and ease of use; it is a lot simpler to clean than other material.
Space Saving Slim Design
Space in your kitchen is always at a premium, especially when preparing ingredients. The Slimline Combination Oven with a large 27 Litre Dish Capacity takes up to 20% less space on the work surface than a comparable Combination Oven because Panasonic have moved the fan to the roof of the oven rather than at the back, reducing the depth of the oven by 20%.
Available on most Panasonic microwave ovens, the conventional and bulky transformer and capacitor components are replaced with a compact circuit board which provides many user-friendly benefits such as:
- Constant Power: Most microwaves operate on constant power, when High or Full is selected. Other power levels are achieved by the microwave pulsing on and off. Panasonic Inverter technology gives constant energy on medium and low power settings – providing an alternative cooking process for your food.
- Even Cooking: When cooking or reheating, Inverter technology ensures is heated evenly – improving texture and flavour.
- Lighter Ovens: Microwaves using the Inverter technology can weigh approximately 3kg less than a traditional microwave.
Chaos Defrost uses random pulses of microwave energy to reduce defrosting times. Not only does this speed up the defrosting process, but is also produces very even defrosting allowing the food to be used immediately for cooking.
The 1300W Quartz Grill with three settings heats up instantly to brown and cook all traditionally grilled foods – ideal for today’s busy lifestyles.
With 13 Auto Weight programs the user has many choices. A selection of foods can be cooked automatically by selecting from the auto-weight options available, just simply enter the weight and the correct cooking mode, saving the user having to look up the correct procedures for their food. By offering such simplicity; time and energy can be saved by optimising the microwave energies.

The first one that arrived worked twice and then died - fortunately it was quickly replaced by Amazon and the second is still going strong but the build quality is poor as are the accessories supplied with the machine are also of a far poorer quality than I had with the earlier machine. At nearly £160 I expected better but I guess that is progress for you.
My advice to perspective customers would be to try and see the machine for real before you buy - and make up your own minds if you think it is worth the money!
It is in my opinion shoddy quality, not what Panasonic used to be. The other day I was convection cooking some fish fillets on a tray placed on the glass plate. There was a loud bang .... The glass plate had shattered! I contacted Amazon who put me on to Panasonic. After a few emails they said they were not responsible for replacing it as they class them as consumables! I said I've only had it since March, never even had to clean the class plate yet, they said that I had probably made a hairline crack in the plate when I washed it up (I hadn't even had to wash it it was spotless) which caused it to break and they would not replace it. I would have to purchase a new one available onAmazon, funnily enough! I asked them where it said in the guarantee that if the glass plate breaks you have to buy a new one yourself. They sent me a document via email where nothing is mentioned about glass plates.
I am appalled at their disregard for a proper guarantee, and also, that Amazon allow them to get away with it. So here I am writing this up whilst gallingly having to look to purchase a replacement glass plate.
I have been buying Panasonic products for 35 years. They have had the last ever of my hard earned cash! Shame on them.
I should have listened to others reviews, regret buying Panasonic, and I will definitely be advising anyone else to buy another brand.
UPDATE: 17 Months and its just died! Just ordered a Sharp, will NEVER buy a Panasonic again!
This is steel grey, looks serious, but will probably blend into the background in most kitchens. Note that you need to leave quite a considerable gap at the top and the sides, because of the ventilation requirements for the oven functions, so it may have be to placed more prominently than your previous microwave.
All the controls are digital, except for the door release, and they are operated through a plastic membrane, rather than being 'real' buttons. This may well improve longevity (we abandoned our old microwave when the buttons began to fall off), and it certainly makes it easier to clean, but there is less feel to them, and you have to check on the screen what you've done. Strangely, there's no keypad to punch in the time you want, and you have to use a combination of 10s of seconds, minutes and hours, with the up and down arrows, to get to where you need to. The same is true for the automatic defrost programs when setting weights for bread, mince/chops and joints, and for setting the temperature of the convection oven.Read more ›
It is very compact and fits in a small place easily.
Provides a variety of cooking/baking options which I like the most.
