The large, backlit 1.8-inch screen is easy-to-read, and the simple menu screen lets you access functions without confusion.
100 Name and Number Phonebook
Up to 100 names and phone numbers can be entered and stored. The phonebook allows you to make calls without having to dial manually. You simply search for the name and select the number you want to dial.
15 Hours Talk Time
One full charge of the battery will provide about 15 hours of talking time before the battery will need re-charging.
170 Hours Standby Time
When the handset is not being used but left off the base station, the charge will be retained for up to 170 hours before requiring a recharge.
'Clear Sound' Technology
A High-precision error correction system ensures clear conversation with less sound glitches, allowing you to enjoy a smooth, error-free conversation even when you're far away from the base unit.
If you want other people in the room to join in your conversation or you want to use the phone without holding it to your ear, no problem, just press the "speakerphone" button.
30 Minutes Answer Machine
The base station includes a built-in Telephone Answering Machine (TAM) that automatically answers and takes a message from the caller when you cannot answer the call yourself. This models digital recording system captures up to 30 minutes of messages.
You can see the message count without operating the handset. Voicemail messages can pile up while you're away. Having to operate the handset just to see how many messages you have is bothersome. The handy counter is located on the base unit and makes it easy to see how many messages you have at a glance when you return home.
Caller ID is a subscription service offered by many telephone service providers. When an outside call is being received, the caller information is displayed. Caller information for the last 50 callers is logged in the caller list from the most recent call to the oldest. *Contact your service provider/telephone company for details.
Incoming Call Barring
This feature allows the unit to reject calls from specified phone numbers that you do not want to answer such as junk calls. *Requires subscription to a Caller ID service.
Visual Ringer and Smart Function Key
The Smart Function Key (Top Key) on the top of the handset flashes according to the situation. This provides an entirely new level of easy use. It is also a useful visual indication of when the phone is ringing.
Short Stroke Keys
The keys do not protrude far from the handset, so they require only a gentle press and have a positive feel. They also help to give the handset an attractive slim appearance.
One Touch Eco Mode Button
One touch Eco modes let you lower the power consumption by one touch pressing the eco button on the handset. In eco mode, the signal output is reduced by 90%*. * Compared to the normal mode
Advanced Alarm Clock
If you like to keep your phone in the bedroom there is no need for a separate alarm clock. The Panasonic alarm function lets you set a different wake-up time for each day, and the Snooze function sounds the alarm every 5 minutes.
Wall-mountable Base Station
With 2 simple screws (not supplied) the base station can be hung on the wall. This frees up space on your work surfaces or cabinet furniture.
Expandable - Up To Six Handsets
For large houses or large families you can add additional handsets. Up to six handsets (available to purchase separately) can be paired to the master base unit allowing every family member to have their own handset or allowing handsets to be placed conveniently around the home in different rooms.
Three Additional Handsets & Charger Stations Supplied
This phone is bundled with 3 additional handsets and charging docks allowing you to place multiple handsets around the home.

Top Customer Reviews
As we see it these are the pros and cons of these phones;
- The handsets are well made and sturdy with reasonably large keys and clear black on orange displays.
- Battery life is very good - the phones can be left off their charging cradles on standby for several days - obviously, if you have a large number of calls this will reduce.
- Each handset has a "softkey" which gives easy access to "immediate" functions such as replaying messages that have been left or listing missed calls etc.
- The audio quality is good and each handset has a built in (but switchable) equaliser which improves voice quality considerably. The speakerphone facility is also good too - important to my relatives when working from home.
- The key functions such as redial, phonebook and intercom etc. are very easy to access plus it is simple to copy phone numbers stored on one handset to the other three.
- The answerphone facility is easy to operate and comes with a pre-recorded greeting, plus, you set your own PIN number for remote access to your messages - so you shouldn't be a victim of voicemail hacking. You can replay messages from any of the handsets or remotely.
- You only need one phone socket for the base unit (plus an adjacent mains socket) - for the other three base units all you need is a mains socket.Read more ›
You'll need to RTFM to get the most from this phone, but if you are prepared for that minor commitment you'll find plenty of upsides to outweight the fact that they've forgotten to put a "normal" ringtone into the many available (but frankly rubbish) options available.
Overall, a great buy.
They are very well built with a nice large bright display which is easy to read and a very clear and loud sound system which has a volume and equalizer adjustment to help "Tune" the sound if you are hard of hearing. Everything about these phones is simple to use... Set the time and date on one phone and they all update. Add phone numbers to one phone book and they are copied to all handsets. Name each handset so that it's really easy to use the intercom between each phone (instead of having to remember "handset 2" is in the kitchen you can just choose "Call Kitchen").
You can leave the handsets off the charging stations for hours and they still show a full charge and the range of the wireless signal is very good indeed. I have one handset permanently in my workshop and it has perfect service and it is only set to "Eco" which reduces the signal to save power. If you do happen to live in Buckingham Palace you can also buy a transmitter repeater which extends the signal even further.
The only downside to these phones is the horrific collection of ringtones. Not one is suitable and Panasonic forgot to put in a basic "Ring Ring" which means you are stuck with things that sound like Rolf Harris is playing a Stylophone in your lounge every time the phone rings.
If you can live with the ringtones then these phones cannot be beaten in this price bracket, plenty of features but really simple to use. Robust and smart. I'm certainly glad I purchased them.
