Panasonic Full HD Camcorder HC-V750EB-K – Making Every Scene More Beautiful
Introducing the V750, a stylish new generation of Wi-Fi enabled camcorder. Helping to make every scene more beautiful, this palm sized device delivers premium picture quality thanks to the world’s first 4-drive lens system and improved Level Shot function.
4-Drive Lens System
For the first time in a consumer video camera, four lens groups have been combined to achieve a fantastic 20x optical zoom, but to also deliver the camcorder’s handily compact dimensions. Small in stature, but big in performance: that’s the Panasonic V750 in a nutshell.
Premium Picture Quality
It goes without saying that the V750 puts performance at the very top of the agenda. An all-new lens, high sensitivity BSI CMOS sensor plus Crystal Engine Pro+ processor combine to deliver consistently high quality results, each and every time.
Intelligent 50x Zoom / 20X Optical Zoom
Capture everything from close up portraits to landscapes and drag the faraway closer with a comprehensive zoom range that starts out at a wideangle 29.5mm, and offers the maximum equivalent of 50x at the telephoto end.
Full HD Slow Motion Video
The Panasonic V750 can record Full HD 1920x1080 pixels video at 120fps, which the Intelligent Frame Creation function of the New Crystal Engine Pro+ interpolates to an equivalent of 240fps. The result is smooth, slow motion footage for ideal for capturing every action and reaction during fast moving events and on sporting occasions in Full HD, a world’s first.
5-Axis Hybrid OIS
The V750 utilises five-axis image stabilisation and correction to avoid blur resulting from shaking of the unit throughout the large zoom range. Because of this users are able to achieve clear results from maximum wideangle to extreme telephoto setting, and in low light shooting situations too.
Level Shot Function
To ensure any video clips are always professionally straight and level, the V750 features a very handy Level Shot function that not only automatically detects but also automatically corrects any tilting in the image being captured. All Panasonic’s 2014 models feature hybrid processing that uses a gyro sensor which adjusts for any tilt in an image by 30% for more stable shooting. Thus images are improved even when shooting one-handed, holding the device at arm’s length, or when filming low to the ground.
Wireless Functionality For The Ultimate in Convenience
As well as providing beautiful High Definition video and memories you will forever treasure, the V750’s Wi-Fi connectivity means that it can be used as a remote baby monitor by busy families in conjunction with a VW-CRT1 pan and tilt cradle (sold separately). This also allows for filming remotely via smartphone and tablet, or filming ‘hands free’ at parties thanks to its auto tracking and Auto Focus (AF) mode/s.A clever Push Notification function on the camcorder alerts the smartphone or tablet if a voice sensor detects the baby waking up or making a sound. Parents can even speak to the baby over the monitor.
Multi Function Manual Dial and Creative Control
A manual dial is provided at the front of the V750 which, either by pushing or rotating, can be used to easily adjust selected functions, such as focusing and altering exposure. Also adjustable in this manner are white balance, shutter speed, sharpness, colour saturation and brightness. As well as getting hands on, users can also get creative via filter effects – Miniature Effect, 8mm Movie, Silent Movie and Time Lapse recording – making it possible to introduce further drama and excitement into your scenes.

My main criteria were:
Image quality - Optical zoom with stabilizer - audio input - ideally a viewfinder - high data rate recording.
I was looking in the sub £500 mark so that took a bunch of cameras out of the running and took me down to just two, the Sony PJ530 and this one. The Sony has an amazing 30x optical zoom and incredible image stabilizer, but it also has a projector built into the pull-out screen. Sounds great, but it is only 25 lumens and when you consider the average desktop projector is about 1000 you can imagine the image is going to be pretty shocking and really only a gimmic, it also only focuses at about 1.5 metres...what's the point?. I didn't test the projector, so if anyone has a good word to say about it, fair enough.
So - Image quality on this camera is stunning, great blacks, bright accurate colours in all temperatures (and you have WB control to dial it up and down when you need to)
Optical zoom is great up to 20x but the intelligent zoom up to 50x is amazing. Only a broadcast technician would spot the difference. Don't touch digital zoom - waste of time.
Audio input - tick and it provides power to consumer mics like the Rode VideoMic, and there's a headphone jack to monitor it.
Viewfinder - no, I had to compromise on that one....that would have pushed me into another price bracket - shame.Read more ›
The camera has a 49mm lens thread so that creative filters can be used (esp polarizer and UV). It also has a hotshoe attachment that can accept extra lights and slots into a space just above the battery. There are also sockets for an external mic (important to me) and A/V for headphones (important to me). Also the usual HDMI to connect directly to TV and computer.
The functions of the camera performed extremenly well with buttons on the left side of the camera giving quick access to
"(a) Record/Delete, (b) Camera Level Indicator, (c) WiFi and (d) On/Off."
The Zoom (Wide/Tele) is on top of camera towards the rear. A nice "solid" button with knurled finger grip. Just behind that, there is the "still photo" button that allows still photos whilst the video is recording. The "Record" button is solid and at thumb location. A really awesome addition to facilities is the SLOW MOTION feature. This can be activated during recording and deactivated. It is a fanatastic feature that allows you to SLOW MOTION all those quirky things that you see on TV, such as a droplet of water cascading and close-up action video slowed down like you see on TV and films. AWESOME!
There is a "Camera Function" button near the lens to quickly access manual control of Focus, WB, Shutter and Iris. All of these controls can be accessed via the touch-screen monitor.Read more ›
Well, for the price It has exceeded my expectations by far, the image quality is excellent, I have used the time laps feature many times now to capture some great sunsets, the low light facility is also an amazing feature and the zoom variations are very impressive.
One area I was unsure about and I feel I should explain to anyone looking to move up to this version, who like me does not have a fully technical understanding of the way cameras record the footage.
When recording, it has been explained to me that the best format on this camera for everyday use is the 1080/50p and Not the 1080/50i as I initially had it set.
Apart from that just have fun using it as I have.
What i want is a camcorder with picture quality as good as my TM900 but with the 20x zoom. The first thing i noticed was how light it was! Using the auto settings, i can say that, in daytime, indoor and outdoor pictures look fantastic. I was looking at footage on a 55" screen, and everything is sharp, detailed and noise free right up to 20x, Impressive for one image sensor. The O.I.S manages to keep pictures steady even at full zoom. I tried the intelligent zoom, anything beyond 30x, the images start to look less detailed.
With Low light footage, pictures have slightly more noise, but it's still kept to a minimum. I've yet to tinker around with manual settings. As i've come from a 3MOS camcorder i'll probably up the colour slightly, but that's all.
The 3 inch screen is nice and sharp, but anyone with stubby fingers might have a problem with the touch screen, so try before you buy!
I don't know how long the camcorder has until it's days are numbered, but for now it certainly beats a shaky camera phone!
HD images look great.
Superb 20x zoom.
O.I.S keeps shakes to a minimum.
Auto focus can sometimes be slow to react.
Slightly more noise in low light.

So far the camcorder has performed well. Beach shots and buildings in Cuba were the holiday try out. I suspect any problems I have seen have been due to settings I have used. Read morePublished 14 months ago by Mr. Andrew N. Stevenson
