Sharpest Triple-Blade Wet & Dry Men’s Shaver (ES-RT31)
Panasonic’s ES-RT31 concludes the RT range of next generation shavers for men on the go.
Effortlessly easy to use and ergonomically designed for comfort.
The World’s* Sharpest Inner Blades
Less cutting resistance with extra-sharp blades
Using three of the world’s sharpest inner blades, Nano particles are used to polish the blade edge to a fine tip of 0.3µm, 3 times sharper compared to conventional 1.0µm. This reduces the cutting resistance by approximately 1/2 for an effortless shave.
Moreover, the inner blades are arranged at a 30-degree angle to shave off hair horizontally for a more precise, close shave. Panasonic has created an electric shaver that delivers the closest shave possible through this technology which is normally reserved for the most expensive shavers.
*Versus Men's Shaver of Braun/Philips as of July 2009, up to 14,000cpm according to Panasonic testing
Super Flexible Head
The multi-directional flexible head rocks up and down and side to side, to allow free pivoting around your facial contours.
Moreover, the individual floating heads are designed to shave your stubble with comfort and ease, including the difficult areas under the chin. Shave in a circular movement or up and down depending on your beard growth pattern.
Panasonic Wet or Dry Technology--Discover the Experience
All Panasonic men’s shavers are 100% waterproof. Panasonic Wet & Dry technology has granted the flexibility of a wet or dry shave, and to give traditional wet razor users who enjoy the refreshing feeling of lather and water the same benefit from Panasonic's Wet & Dry shavers.
This means you can enjoy excellent dry shaving results or shave at the basin with water and any shaving foam or gel, or even in the shower.
When you're done shaving, simply rinse clean under water and your shaver is ready for action again.
For a perfect finish, simply slide the pop-up trimmer upwards and easily bring contours and sideburns into shape, granting you increased creativity with ease of use.
Effortlessly easy to use and ergonomically designed for comfort. The ES-RT31 includes an LED display showing the charge left so you know exactly how much power is left.
The impressive two-week usage time makes the RT range an essential grooming tool at home or away.

being using for a while now......
This shaver is incredibly good value. Its pointless buying the more expensive versions as the cutting mechanism is exactly the same. Its nice being able to easily clean it using hand soap, keeps it clean and fresh....its actually easier to use than the self cleaning options.
The shave is comfortable and close....I also like the positioning of the long hair clipper in the middle...from a design perspective it makes complete sense, regardless of which way you are shaving it will always be followed by foils. never had any nicks or pulls from longer stubble.
Dry shave is best, I wiould not even bother with a wet shave. Takes a couple of strokes to feel really close but thats the same with most electrics. No rashes what so ever......battery is lasting around 2 weeks.
I had never used an electric shaver prior to using the Panasonic ES-RT31, and had been wet shaving with a razor since my late teens. Having shaved several years (I'm now 24) using the conventional method, not once had I complained. Wet shaving twice a week left my skin smooth and looking fresh. It was only until recently that I noticed my stubble had taken it upon itself to grow faster, maybe I'm at that age now, and seeing how I love the clean look I had no choice but to shave everyday. I found that not only did it eat up time in the morning, shaving everyday left my skin feeling very raw and sensitive. The clean look was now replaced with a face that looked like it had been butchered. I had to find an alternative!
I'm very picky when it comes to buying items especially spending anything over £50, so I spent several weeks doing research on the type of electric shavers in the market. After weeks of pondering and reading many positive reviews on its predecessors, I decided to invest in the Panasonic ES-RT31. With several reviews boasting about its close shave I knew I would not be disappointed, and boy was I right.Read more ›
In use, the motor gets slower as the charge runs down; not ideal but at least it doesn't take you by surprise when it runs out. The charging situation is the problem with this shaver: new out of the box, I was getting 10 days between charges. Now it is 6-7 days, and I don't expect it to get any better with age. The batteries are not replaceable, so when it comes to the time to buy new foils and cutters, I may think twice. Bear this in mind if you are looking for a long term relationship with a shaver.
