It has no in-line volume control on it but I didn't want one as they often become scratchy after a while and then they start cutting the sound out, but with most phones these days you should be able to adjust the volume on the handset while you are in a call.
The mike is not right in front of your mouth which is good thing because if it was it would pick up the horrible wind noise created by breathing on it.
The position of the mike can be adjusted up and down as you would expect and it has just the right amount of tension on it when repositioning it and it can also be flipped over for right ear, left ear use.
The ear piece feels comfortable on my ear, it doesn't cover your whole ear like large headphones would but it sits on your ear which is what I wanted.
The headset can be adjusted for larger/smaller heads but having no idea if I have a standard size head I have no idea how it would feel on your head, I have it set it on the largest size myself which works for me and it feels comfortable enough.
The length of the lead from the ear piece to the jack plug end (without putting tension on it which would straighten out the kinks in the wire) is about 117cm, fully stretched out but acting more like a spring it measures approximately 128cm.
The wire itself it about 2mm thick which doesn't sound like a lot but it is probably typical for a headset and if it was any thicker you might find it annoying anyway but obviously it's not something that you want to be putting much tension on, the length seems fine to me to hook the phone on my belt and walk around with it with a little slack in it and it has a clip on it (pushed up near the ear piece when it arrives) that you can slide down and clip on to your shirt, although if I were you I would hold the wire above it 1st before pulling on it to slide it down as it has some resistance to it and you wouldn't want to be pulling on the wire that attaches to the ear piece and risk breaking the wires inside.
The jack-plug is 2.5mm which I think is typical for most handsets but yours could be 3.5mm for all I know so check the jack plug size on your phone before you order it.
I bought mine from the seller called "All-4-Less" and it was well packaged in a cardboard box with another item that I purchased and it arrived within the delivery date.
