Okay this is my first Kandi Steiner book, why the hell did it take me so long to find this author! Seriously, I loved her style of writing, she drew me in from page one.
I felt like I was in a T.V Series, it played out in my head as I read, I love it when books do that!
Well done Kandi, I can't wait for more :-) xx

5.0 out of 5 stars Parties, Drinking, Boys, Friends, and repeat ... wait did I say boys? 17 Feb. 2016
By Theresa Esterline - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Whether you have read Black Number Four or not, you will love this. But if you are a #BN4 fan it is awesome. Timing wise it starts before #BN4, with Cassie pledging sororities. There are two points of view to show you both sides of Greek life. I enjoyed it, it reminded me a little of the tv show Greek which I loved! And now a bit about the story...

Cassie is new to Palm South University and she is checking out Greek row with her high school best friend. Bear is struggling to deal with his less than perfect family. Skylar is on the scene interacting with both. And let's not forget the hot scene Jess stars in ;)

Favorite passages:
- I’m wondering if this was the right choice. This campus is crawling with walking, talking Barbies.
- “Parties, boys, lavish events, boys, study groups, boys. Need I say more?”
- Thank God I have my fraternity brothers. Real families are a disappointment.
- “Why, whatever were we thinking, Cassie?” I find my voice and try to keep up with the banter. “We’re not being very ladylike, at all!”

Episode 2

Distractions... Distractions...

The PSU season continues...school is in session, there are parties and more boys. There are a few surprises in store for the Greeks at PSU. And even a few secrets! Can't wait for them to be revealed!!

Favorite passage:
- “Yeah, enough of this girly talking s***. I need tequila.”

Episode 3

Fun... girls just wanna have it!

Loved this episode! We found out Ashlei's secret. Adam pulled off an awesome Alpha Sigma event. Cassie was pinned and then startled by her Big.

Favorite passages:
- “You may not want me to be, but I’m still your president . And I can have you kicked out of this fraternity faster than you come in bed.”
- “Okay, you have two minutes to get him dressed and out of here.”“Um,” she pauses, looking to the guy. “Could we maybe get like five?”

Episode 4

Good girls gone bad...

This episode focuses in on Cassie, Skylar, Jess as the Halloween party approaches. All three do something to surprise us add reminding you of how easy it was to be carefree in college.

Favorite passages:
- “Don’t act like you’re not still attracted to me. Don’t act like you don’t watch me every class. Don’t act like you don’t have the same things going through your mind that I do right now.”
- “It doesn’t piss me off, it doesn’t make me hate you – it only makes me want you more.”
- Everyone feels like they can hide behind a mask or a costume, but in the morning , they still wake up as the person beneath the mask.

Episode 5

Shut up and Dance!!

It's semi formal time and many of those secrets are gonna come out! Almost everyone had a voice this episode ;) Ashlei and Bear share their secrets, Jess admits defeat on more than one front, and then there is Adam... he can't figure out which head to use when it comes to Cassie.

Favorite passages:
- “It just takes time. You’ll get there,”
- “Hey ! I have a temporary fix. Come to semi-formal with me this weekend.” I’m pretty sure I look at her as if she just sprouted a dick on her face because she instantly clarifies.
- “But I like you better when you’re bad.”
- “Bear, hear me out.”“No! First of all, who even has checks anymore?”
- “Yeah. I want to dance.”“Well, it is your ball, princess.”

Episode 6

Fall complications...

It's the morning after semi formal, do you know whose in your bed ;) Great finale for season one including Thanksgiving and finals ... the first season and semester come to an end with a splash! Decisions are mostly made, Finals are complete, Regrets are shared and maybe carried a little too far...

Favorite passages:
- What is Bear’s major? Football? Beer? Mind-blowing Sex?
- “It’s okay, Bear. No need to prove to us how big your… trust fund is.”
- “You were right,” I whisper. ... “I wish I wasn’t.”
- How did I end up here? How did I land myself in this s***hole? And what the hell do I do now?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read! 18 July 2017

Palm South University is a serial. This is Season 1. Super short and leaves you wanting more but it's also a great read. We get three POVs in this Season. We get Cassie, Bear, and Jess. I loved reading about all of them.

Cassie is just starting out at Palm South University. She's attending with her best friend, Paris. Her and Paris have been Best friends forever, College may change that. Cassie is a down to earth girl. Cassie and Paris join different sororities. I'm not really a big fan of Paris, she seemed to think only about herself and not what Cassie wanted. I can't wait to read more about Cassie.

Jess is definitely going to be a fun character to read about. Her suggestion had me laughing and smiling.

Bear seems to have a lot going on. His seems like his is older then he is. He definitely has some issues going on and I can't wait to read more of him.

This is a great read. I got to meet some interesting characters and I can't wait to read more.

First off....I love ALOT of authors and I don't think many others can pull off a tv series format as much as the great kandi stein! She is a genius! Some people wanted more smut! Well if you've read kandi's other books, they aren't ALL sex and I like it that way! She always has a great story line along with the sex. I fell in love with these characters. They each had their own personality and problems and kandi touched on some touchy topics and I love her even more for that!! Seriously y'all!! Kandi is a fricking rockstar! A genius! She's so sweet and spunky! Do I know her personally? No (but I hope that changes in vegas 😊) but I feel like she put a touch of her personality into her characters! This book made me wish I would've went to a sorority. It made me miss the beach, it made me wish I wouldn't have missed out on so much in life and actually LIVED! I can't go on enough what palm south did to me!! GO ONE CLICK NOW!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Love this series! <3 9 Feb. 2016

Episode 1
Let me start with the fact that I have been so, so eager for this serial since Kandi mentioned it forever ago...well, at least it feels like forever ago...

Cassie is looking for something but she doesn't even really know what it is. Bear is probably one of my favorite book friends ever. He's so loveable and I'm so excited to see more from him in this serial. Jess is a crazy person. And I already LOVE Skylar!

I think this could be summed up for me with the thoughts of Cassie (who I would describe as shy - but could easily break out of her shell with the right encouragement) on her experience at PSU:

I'm here to get a degree, and that's more important to me than anything else. But at the same time, I'm here to have fun. And right now, standing in a yard full of shirtless fraternity boys and sisters who will be by my side through all the s*** college will throw at me, I know without a doubt there will be no shortage of fun in my life.

And then there's Jess who is about as wild as they come. Her encounter with the extra hot bartender left me reeling:

"You didn't wait for me last time. That's fine. But you're going to come again. With me, this time."

Holy hotness!!! I can't wait to see what Kandie has in store with the next few installments!!!

Episode 2
I was so happy to see the table of contents in this book with chapters from Bear's perspective. I missed hearing from Cassie in this episode because other than Sky, she's my favorite KKB girl! Seeing her here and there with Sky was good, but I hope Kandi brings her back in more detail in the next episodes.

BUT back to Bear and his life. I know that his story is so much deeper than anyone ever realized and I just hope he won't hold it in much longer because it's going to destroy him and his friendships. I did fall even more in love with him though when he called home and talked with his little brother. His love for him shows thru so much in that call and I totally believe he'll do more than anyone expects to make sure his brother and nephews are well cared for.

This story is best summed up in this thought from Skylar and I can't wait to see what she does to uncover these truths that she seeks:

There are way too many secrets floating around PSU right now, and I'm determined to start uncovering them. It's time to hone in on my friends and reveal their truths.

This episode was better than the first and I'm sure the next will be better than that even!

Episode 3
This episode was interesting in that it didn’t really provide any answers and after the 2nd one, I needed some answers! I also missed Bear since he didn’t really have a role in this book at all.

I’m really feeling myself getting attached to this characters and loving their college life. The drama of sorority life is something I never experienced and it’s really fun watching thru everyone's perspectives and learning all about their crazy antics.

The one thing that is bothering me most is Skylar and Adam because poor Cassie is going to get so hurt and I don’t want to see that happen! I can’t wait for Episode 4 and I hope maybe, just maybe, we can find out all the secrets that everyone seems to be keeping.

Episode 4
It's hard to write a review or a series because the stories are really short compared to full length novels. The story is always developing and doesn't seem to have any closure.

All that said, I'm loving this series.

In this one Cassie breaks a little from her good girl image and finds a little more of herself in college. Skylar and Adam find themselves ettting a little more serious than I think they anticipated. Jess is still pining for a guy she doesn't think she can have. So much drama and so little time to have it.

I'm going to keep reading for sure, mostly because I know this series is catching my heart and all I want is to find each of these KKB girls with a HEA. BUt also because Ms Steiner has a way of getting my head in the story and then my heart is sure to follow and I can't put it down!!!

Episode 5
I love that this series is from so many different POVs. I love seeing the same semester of college going by for so many different kids and how each of their experiences is so different and yet so the same.

Secrets are running rampant in the KKB house and Jess is really tired of them, BUT the truth is that she's keeping secrets too. and Not just from the other sisters, but from herself. She's not dealing with the fact that she's so into Jarrett. In fact, she has to learn to really deal with this or she's going to make serious mistakes that won't help her much less really hurt him.

I was so happy that Bear was back in this episode. I missed him so much.

Ashlei is getting into something she can't really fathom and I fear for her about what it will bring into her life. She is developing feelings for a sister - being bi-sexual isn't a problem for her, but what will it do to the sorority?

Adam is going to have to deal with his feelings for Cassie. He might be screwing Skylar and enjoying that, but he's hiding some deeper feelings and he's going to have to do something sooner or later. He's likely to really screw himself.

This story is getting in my head and I can't get it out...I love that Ms Steiner is making me crazy and I can't wait to see where she takes the story! I'm not sure how she's going to wrap up this story in a clean way with only one more episode, but I can't wait to read it and find out.

Episode 6
I loved that in this episode we got to hear from all of the major players one more time. Nothing was really wrapped up tight and everything feels like it's still up in the air, BUT they each were able to share with us what college life is doing to them.

I love that Skylar and Bear have truly found their relationship to be so amazingly powerful. They are the two in the story that I really feel bonded with. They come from such different backgrounds than the others and I'm sure they are fighting harder to maintain themselves.

Adam is still denying his feelings for Cassie. Call them friends if he wants, but I see so much more possible for them.

Jess finally commits to Jarrett, but then takes it back. What they have is hot and intense, but will it get them thru? That is the question.

Christmas break is upon the group and now they have to prepare for a new semester and figure out where life is taking them.
5.0 out of 5 stars The week by week drama will keep you coming back for more! 10 Feb. 2016

In the first episode we are first introduced to Cassie. (I have to fan girl for a moment because GUYS Kandi honored me by giving Cassie my last name! How freaking awesome.)

"Cassie McBee.” “Pretty name!”

In the first episode Cassie and her best friend are freshman who are going through the process of rushing a sorority. This is where it all starts for Cassie. We see that at first Cassie isn't sure if sorority life is for her but we get to see thought process and feelings through the journey.

We are also introduced to one of my other favorite characters Bear. No that isn't his real name but he is like a cuddly teddy bear so you can't help but call him Bear. Bear is easy to fall in love with and he will pull on your heart strings. Bear didn't have a cookie cutter life so there is a lot to his story that Kandi gives us glimpses in the first episode.

One of the other characters who you can't help but love is the feisty and sassy sex kitten Jess! Jess will make you laugh with some of the things she thinks and what comes out of her mouth. Their are rules in place and Jess seems to be one for bending the rules and having a blast during her college years. And it is evident that Jess loved to have a good time with the boys on campus. "I love them, don’t get me wrong, but damn –a girl needs a break. And a penis. Just saying."

If all this happens in just the first episode of the season you can only imagine what is yet to come. This is a quick and easy read that will make you fall in love deeper with the campus of PSU. The place where you find your true self, friendship and if you're lucky maybe a little love.

"You end up where you belong. So, follow your heart."
