I build my entire gaming rig and waited for this card to come out because Nvidia promised to offer it for a good price. Glad i waited as it offered the best performance/£ by a mile on cards around this spec. You get different versions of this card. This one has a very quiet fan even when running flat out. All other cards I've had have been far noisier. Note that although this card has 4 outputs, it will only support 2 monitors at a time. The hdmi output also supports audio by default so no extra cable required as is the case with many other cards. Should last too as not overclocked, its always had enough power as standard for me.

This graphics card can play both Crysis 2 and Far Cry 3 on high settings (around 30-40FPS on Far Cry 3). I am sure I was able to play Crysis 2 on ultra settings actually, but I am not 100% sure so that is why I didn't initially state this.

I've only recently upgraded to a GTX 770 after about 2 and a half years, and I can therefore conclude that the 460 had served me well and it did the jobs I needed very well.

Overall, most games can be played on high so don't worry too much about the performance.

It's quiet, its fast and its reasonably priced. This is a great card for gamers and can play any game I can throw at it with no lag, maxed out and with 16x AA. I am quite an avid gamer so my gaming sessions can last a long time. Never during gaming has the fan gone above 40% which is the default speed. I can not hear the fan when it runs.

It has amazing over-clocking abilities allowing it to be over-clocked from 700mHz to 910mHz safely from the included utility.

It needs two 6-pin PCI Express plugs but only comes with one molex to PCIe converter so make sure your PSU has a plug built it.

In the two or three years before I bought this, I went through three cards from other manufacturers. The fan ball bearings disintegrated on all of them and they overheated to the point of burn-out. This card is still going strong and the fan, while hardly silent, is still as quiet as when I bought it.

Compact, good value card

I got a defective example, which was blue screening and tearing badly as the load and temperature rose, but until then, it was relatively quiet, and very compact - an inch or more shorter than the ATI 4870 I used to have, and about 10% faster in benchmarks.

The cooler is a single fan behind a large plastic shroud, it's not a large heatsink, don't be fooled, though it probably doesn't need it, if the hsf is stuck to the chip properly.

For the price, it's better value than the newer 560 that replaces it (and which I exchanged it for). The 560 is a physically larger card, with a larger heatsink, the gigabyte 560 being heavier and slightly more solid than the 460 reference design and benchmarking about 10% again faster than this model.

For a low-mid range card, it's good value, don't be put off by the plastic cover and lack of large heatsink, unless you want to overclock it, in which case the factory overclocked versions might be less hassle than hoping you get a good sample and DIY'ing.

This card at first was running fine for a couple of days, then I started to get random pixelation on screen and random re boots, It turned out to be the graphics card so I have returned mine and Received my refund from Amazon no problems as they are an excellent company, shame about the card but it wasnt even that fast either compared to the Nvidia 285 gt, next time I will go for An Ati again as I have never had problems with them.
