I have had the UK version of this book for a few months now and have probably made about 80% of the recipes and have cooked only about four meals from my usual recipe stock (adapted to be paleo-ish).

Every single thing that I have made has been awesome (even if I do say so mysel). Every dinner guest I have cooked for has gushed about the food and I love it so much I have brought more copies for friends and family. I am a proper evangelist.

It's hard to chose a favourite when everything is so very good but the slow cooked anchovy lamb is to die for, the scotch eggs are now a regular feature on our table (and were declared much, much better than non-paleo ones by the Supper Club) and the coconut comfort curry is so quick and warming.

Not only does the food taste good but we do definitely feel better and stronger (and I have lost around 3% body fat) for upping our paleo-ness thanks in the main to this wonderful book.

This book is awesome.

I see some negative comments regarding it being americanised. I ordered the book from the "fitter London" website for the uk version.

Regarding the negative comments about bacon - I get my nitrate free bacon from devon rose farm and you can also get sausages that contain no nasty additives but herb n spices.

It's the best paleo book to start you off. Recipies are so tasty! Once your rolling and understand what to eat and what avoid get creative and invent your own stuff. :-)

I heard a rumour a 2nd book will be released later this year. I hope so!

This is a fantastic book that has really helped me to get my head around the Paleo way of eating. I had my reservations at first with the somewhat restrictive nature of the diet, but this book really helped me understand the reasons behind making these dietary changes. The scientific part was explained clearly, concisely and with a hint of humour too which makes it a much more enjoyable read. Plus, the recipes are really good and more importantly, realistic when you have a busy life! Most of the week day recipes take us less than half an hour.
I'm four weeks into this Paleo way of eating and I've never felt better! I've lost 10lbs (effortlessly) I feel more alert, my skin and hair looks great and I think I've finally rid myself of my sugar/refined carbs addiction! I don't feel like I'm missing out by not eating grains/sugar. I know I can have a nice steak or bacon and eggs so I don't feel deprived. If you're thinking of finding out more, this book is a great place to start!

Be warned, this is a pretty much a rebrand of their previous book "Fitter Food: a Lifelong recipe". And I mean simply down to a couple of new recipes (and it is a couple) and a change of cover. They acknowledge this in their acknowledgements, but sadly not here on the product review.

Excellent book which summarises the Paleo concept brilliantly and offers many amazing recipes. The first few I have tried have successfully weened me off my crisps and chocolate addiction. I'm not overweight but feel great and have lost 3 pounds in the first 3 days.

I love this book. The recipes are great, require very few special ingredients, and the whole thing is presented in a very enjoyable way. Keris and Matt's enthusiasm is palpable. I just wish they had aimed the book at a European readership rather than the American market. I would definitely recommend it, though.
Just buy the book already!!!

I have bought a few Paleo books. I find that this is the one that I use most often. It feels friendly and gives an honest opinion. I bought one for my daughter too. I'm doing well on Paleo and my Doctor has taken me off blood pressure meds because mine is now normal. I am now chasing the blood sugar. Oh yes, I have Iost 12 kilo so far too. I have found this book quite acceptable to my being in England and I haven't come across any difficulties.
