VINE VOICETOP 1000 REVIEWERon 23 April 2006
I have used Paint Shop Pro since version 5; the latest version, X, adds a lot more on-line help in the form of the Learning Centre. This book doesn't repeat the help in the Learning Centre; it has a couple of chapters of introduction and then provides new useful information and examples.

The use of colour illustrations is good although some are too small to actually see the difference (although easy enough to do your own example)

I found several useful tips and techniques and there is some real practical advice.

Some spelling mistakes and errors (including adding a tent to a b/w photo!)

Simply, this is the book that should have been the written manual included with the program. It covers all the points that the novice will need to know and gives guidance to the experienced who may need further help. It has changed my way of working with PSPX to produce more consistent results and explains how certain functions work plus the various methods available to simplify each task. It does assume a basic knowledge of photography and the ability to use a camera. An excellent book worth far more than its price and has earned a place as my guide and mentor. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

Very useful for touching up poor photographic results.
