Great idea...great product!

I designed myself and iPad stand just like this. I then thought I would go online and search for a block of rubber to create my prototype. Before finding a rubber supplier I thought I would just check the latest stands on the market and low and behold I found this, the exact idea I had in my head.
I was a little sceptical as whether it would be secure enough, or heavy enough withstand the leverage of the device. It is great in every way and I highly recommend it. With the iPad in portrait, landscape or in a typing position, it is secure and really helps you make the most out of it.
Product also arrived within 2 days which was brilliant.

This is a fantastic little product, simple yet so effective and cheap as Roast Potatoes (i would have said chips but i'm quite posh).

I've been looking for something exactly like this for ages, and not an over engineered lump at a lump of a price.

Love the fact it has a cut out for the charger that's ace, although it looks weedy in the picture, it's not, it hols my iPad-1 nice and solid and just works!

Delivery was quick and all in all i'm really chuffed :)

This little gadget is fab. My iPad stands at just the right angle and it is so lightweight and portable it can lie in the bottom of my handbag even.... I love it and use it daily.

Small but Effective

I ordered 3 of these because I watch iPlayer quiet often and got fed up with propping the iPad up with pillows. This is an ideal product for long-time watching. At present, its resting on the item as the lid doesn't bring it upwards enough for watching and typing. I intend to give the other two away to family to make it easier for them. It's smaller than you think so will fit into a bag easily and very lightweight if you intended to take it on a plane.

Not quite universal

I got this to use with an iPad 4, and the first thing I found was that with a folding case attached, there's no way this will allow placement of an iPad in portrait mode when the case is folded back on itself. The whole thing becomes too big, and folding the front of the case so it's a triangular wedge on the side just makes the iPad unstable in the cradle. The only way it works without removing the case, is in landscape mode, with the front of the case folded so it forms a triangle on the upper edge. This seems reasonably stable, although the grip could be better.

To be fair, the makers aren't claiming it works with an iPad4, and certainly not with a case. So if you want something to hold the iPad in landscape mode, perhaps as I do for typing in using a Bluetooth keyboard, then this is a good little unit, looks well made, although is not as heavy as I'd hope. But for the price, it's well worth taking a punt.

I bought this because I use my iPad a lot for source material when painting. I need to have both landscape and portrait views for this purpose. I previously had an open-out leather case for it that could swivel 360° and although that was quite good, the iPad did tend to slip a bit when propped up. My friend had a "stump" for her iPad so I decided I wanted one. Researching on the Internet I found hers was more than double the price of this one. So I took a chance and ordered this PadStand. It's wonderful! Suits my purpose entirely and feels very secure in both portrait and landscape modes. It is also useful if you want your keyboard at an angle for typing, though I don't usually use it for that. All in all, an excellent product, does what it says and at a very competitive price. Would thoroughly recommend.

Simple solutions are the best

Great product that does exactly what it says on the tin. Very sturdy support for iPad with no wobble when using the screen in either landscape or profile. Light weight and durable material. iPad has a incipio feather case and it fits perfectly. Already thinking about buying more for other rooms in the house and office.

My iPad feels wobbly on this but the mini is just perfect on it. Not much space so you'll need to remove your case first

Special Circumstances

It's a stand.

Yes, it's a stand, it's heavy and clunky. A standard cable needs to be threaded into it and doesn't fit too snugly. There are better versions out there. Waste of 8 quid.
