First, the zipper sliders almost always get stuck when you open or close the main compartment. It is pretty annoying and time consuming to pull out the material. If you want to constantly spend your day pulling the material out of the zipper slider material then ignore my comments. It is simply a hug defect or design flaw.
Second, I was closing the backpack of the main compartment and the made "metal" zipper pull tab snapped in half in my hand and cut it. This is this zipper tab that is part of the primary locking system. How effective is a lock system if you can break the zipper tab with your hands? Chinese made with poor quality control. Good idea and general design but very poor quality and craftsmanship. Backpack is worth about $20. Not $100
There was mega crowds in Rome and there was no way they could get in this without me knowing. I loved it.
Can also use the shoulder strap to lock to a pole or whatever.
Inside there are various pockets which I used most of them and I stuff a sweater in it when not needed with ease.
If you are looking for a secure back pack this is it. You can choose the level of security. Just use the first slide lock or both slide locks or both and a padlock.
You can't beat it.
I highly recommend it.
I used this pack all day every day for 3 weeks in Peru and Ecuador. Everything I said in my original review holds true after this real-life experience. It's well made and I had no quality related issues.
HOWEVER, there's one very annoying design flaw. The main compartment has a rain flap that completely covers the zippers. At least once per day, sometimes several times per day, the this rain flap gets jammed in the zipper. You DO NOT want to waste time on a trip trying to un-jam a stuck zipper. One time, the jam was so bad, I could not get it loose, and I had to cut the rain flap to free the zipper. This helped to prevent subsequent jams, and essentially solved the problem. (See photos.)

I've had a lot of backpacks of this size, and this one is by far the best constructed and has the most features. I was pleasantly surprised by a couple features that were not in the product description: a waist belt, and two compression straps.
I also like the dimensions - a bit taller and narrower than similar packs of the same capacity. This helps keep your elbows from bumping into the side pockets (holding your water bottles), and helps accommodate long items such as umbrellas.
