When I read "Pucked" and first discovered that Buck and Sunny were an item, I didn't really take their relationship seriously. The pair appeared to be so completely different that I doubted things would workout between them. How wrong was I? Buck and Sunny made an adorable couple and I loved every minute of their story.

Buck was very much like his step-sister, extremely funny and entertaining. He made me smile from the word go. Throughout the course of his romance with Sunny, Buck found himself in all sorts of embarrassing situations that made me chuckle. At times I really did feel sorry for him as he tried so desperately to create a good impression only to have whatever he was doing backfire in his face. He just could not seem to do anything right. I was really surprised and impressed by how much Buck was prepared to change for Sunny. He was not nearly as bad as Violet had always made him out to be.

Sunny was a sweet character who blossomed with Buck by her side. Yes, there were a hell of a lot of differences between them but they worked so well together. The only gripe I had with Sunny was how quickly she judged Bucks actions without listening to what he had to say. I felt that she was a little too harsh on poor Buck, but I did understand why she found it so difficult to trust him because of his previous history with the ladies. I just wanted her to trust Buck a little more and ignore the media a little less.

Buck and Sunny's relationship was a big learning curve for each of them as there were a few issues they had to deal with. However when things were going well between them, they made a really cute couple. I loved how happy they made each other and their happiness transferred from the page to me.

MY REVIEW
I found this instalment in the Pucked series to be a okay read but not as strong as the first, im not sure what was lacking.
I found myself liking Miller more in this book than the first where i thought he was a bit of a douche, he kind of did a 180 from the way he acted in Pucked changing his puck bunny using ways.
Sunny on the otherhand at times really got on my last nerve. Her character had such a immaturity about her i just wanted to shake her. Maybe her immaturity came about by the fact that Alex treated her like a child most of the time, like she couldnt make any choices for her self without the whole family butting in, drove me nuts. Alex is a man of double standards, it was okay for him to date Miller's sister but not for Miller to date his sister, even when they have had similar reputations with the puck bunnies in the past, another thing that grated on me with this book.
Violet kept up with her hilarious words of wisdom and one liners that lifted the whole book for me.
I just couldnt connect with the characters in this book, not like the first book.
I did like the fact that the whole book was told from Miller's point of view.

Awwww....I have a soft spot for Miller 'Buck' Butterson. It surprised me how quickly I liked his character, because in the first book, Pucked, we see him primarily as Violet's brother and he is not always portrayed in the best light. In this book , however, he grabs your heart and hangs on tight.
I think it is his underlying vulnerability that makes him so likeable. He has been a total , unashamed bed hopper. He is young, attractive, a professional athlete and well known for his sexploits!! So what happens when the player falls really hard for his Team Captain and brother - in -law to be's little sister? Some really hilarious, laugh out loud funny stuff is the answer. At times his inner monologue reminded me of Drew from Tangled by Emma Chase. Seeing the world through the male pov is absolutely fantastic! The banter within and around him is so well written. I couldn't believe the situations he found himself in. It was like car crash TV, I just couldn't not look.
The only downside for me was Sunny- on occasion she seemed a bit immature in that she listens to every one but Miller. He was a good guy and loyal despite his history and I hated how people (Alex) treated him at times. Miller really makes this book a thoroughly enjoyable and feel good read. Pucked Over comes out next, not sure who it is about but I really hope Randy Balls is the hero.....now there's a sentence I never thought I'd say!

Another wonderful book in the Pucked series from Helena Hunting.

This follows Buck (Miller) Butterson with his pursuit for Sunny Waters. She is Alex Waters sister and Alex is the captain of the hockey team in which Buck plays. Alex has recently become engaged to Violet who is Bucks step sister , so all in all things were left a little complicated and heated at the end of Pucked.
This book is just as funny, as Bucks intentions for Sunny escalates and he tries to find all sorts of different ways to impress her. Usual the only way he has been used to impressing women is in one night stands with so called "puck bunny's" and showing off his "charms" to them for the one night only. A bit of a player where the ladies are concerned, he now finds he has all sorts of different feeling's for Sunny apart from the sexual one's he usually has.
Sunny is sweet and kind but a little naive, and Buck has his work cut out trying to prove to her that he can be different and more of boyfriend materiel and less of a man whore.
You get snippets in the book from Alex and Violet and I make it no shame in admitting that I fell in love with Violet in the first book, She is just one on its own and when her character appears, she light's up the page !!! I can't recommend these books enough, they will have you laughing out loud. Truly wonderful !!!!
