I have wanted to read this book ever since it was first released. There was a lot of hype on social media about it, so I was excited to get started. It turned out to be the perfect weekend read. "Pucked" was hilariously funny, extremely romantic and it left me with a huge smile on my face. This is a book that you don't want to miss.

Violet was a fantastic female character. I fell in love with her instantly and I quickly developed a bit of a girl crush. She was just so damn funny. I howled with laughter at some of things she said or did. Violet's dialogue was so witty and unique. At times there was a little bit of crudeness with the things that she said that some readers may not like, however I was unable to stop myself from laughing. I loved everything about this girl, from her super hero underwear to her potty mouth.

I loved Alex equally as much as Violet. Alex was a sexy ice hockey player with a playboy reputation. Like most of his other team members, it was assumed that Alex was not at all the kind of guy you would want to be in a relationship with. However I soon realised that my assumptions were wrong. Alex made my heart sigh. He was just so lovely. I loved how romantic he was, the way that he pursued Violet melted my heart. To my surprise Alex came across as a little bit nerdy and also a little bit nervous when it came to Violet. I found his lack of confidence in this area to be endearing and it was just another reason why he stole my heart.

Alex and Violet's relationship was so much fun. They made a brilliant couple. It was a relationship that was jam packed with multi-orgasmic sex, a heap of hilarity and it was topped off with the most cutest romance. I was completely entertained from start to finish by Alex and Violet.

Without a doubt, this book is not for everyone, but the oddball humour made me laugh several times, and I was highly entertained throughout.

Violet Hall is the step-daughter of a sports scout and the step-sister of a professional Ice Hockey player, so she is very familiar with the lifestyles and reputations of the studs on the ice.

Alex Waters is the captain of the Hawks Ice Hockey team, and he is instantly drawn to Violet's awkward and quirky ways but it's up to him to convince her that his reputation is unfounded and that he is actually a stand up decent guy who is worth pursuing a relationship with.

After their steamy one night stand, Alex wants more and Violet is cautious but he is very hard to resist and so it's not long before fireworks are going off in the bedroom on a regular basis.
_ _ _ _

Now, the heroine is pretty juvenile and is slightly obsessed with sex, 'jilling, off, Alex's Monster C0ck, and Beavers, but I still found myself liking her and her weirdness.

Alex was pretty awesome, plus he had a monster c0ck, what's not to like? :)

Overall, this book will either annoy the s*** out of you, or you will be entertained by it's LOL moments. For me it was well worth the read, and I am glad to add another author to my list.

"Does everyone in Canada call pussies beavers?
Like the Brits call them fannies?"

Definitely worth reading if you like easy summer books. Once I started I didn't want to stop so it only lasted me a couple of days, but I'm glad I bought it! It's got some laughs, the characters are quirky if somewhat clichéd, and the only drama is fairly minimal, although it is totally overblown and overhyped. If you aren't one for a lot of sex then give it a miss, one thing this book isn't is conservative. Either way, it's nothing deep or meaningful, and I probably won't read it again, but it's fun, easy and enjoyable.

First few chapters I found quite funny. Unfortunately the immature and giggly style soon grated on me. It got quite repetitive and I was getting really annoyed by the beavers and mc references. Alex was almost unbelievably shy at times and Violet got upset over the slightest things. I actually started to like Buck more as a character as he was more honest in some ways. It was quite tongue in cheek and if you like first person foot in mouth jokes throughout you will probably enjoy this book.

I am so in love with this book its unreal. It was recommended to me by a friend (Thank you Allana!) my only regret is not reading it sooner!

Helena has done an outstanding job writing this book. Its full of humour (and I mean laugh out loud humour), sass, heartbreak and an amazing love story. I was drawn in from the very first pages and have not been able to put it down. I love how she captures her characters emotions and feelings and I adore how she writes and the depth of her description. She has a wicked sense of humour that comes out in her writing, jumps off the page and will have you clutching your sides.

Her characters... Violet, you HAVE to pick up this book even if its just to meet Violet, she had me crying with laughter and I do mean crying. The things she says, the way she says them and just how blunt she is is hilarious. I fell in love with her I think from the very first line, 'It's 6:51 on Thursday morning, and I'm thirty seconds away from an orgasm'. She's the kind of girl you want as your best friend especially when you read her relationships with the other characters in the book, especially Charlene, together they are one hell of a duo. Alex.... Oh holy hell!! That is one hot specimen of man. He's gorgeous, rugged and a hockey player what more could a girl want?!? Oh yeah he's sensitive too! I think I finished the book and he had completely stole my heart because he is the TOTAL package when it comes to book boyfriends! Oh and just wait til you meet the rest of the team *winks*
