Just got off the phone with Sony apparently nothing can be done at all... getting a replacement on Thursday so that's not too bad

Same fault here - except it's stuck inside now.

Got sent an email to take me thru manually retrieving the disc by turn if a plastic Phillips screw but that didn't work & apparently they can't send the game back when they get it back for the swap over. To be fair to Sony, they've organised this for a couple of days time.

Def going to take an extended warranty out with square trade - my spider senses tell me these 1st release machines aren't particularly well built with all the other issues that keep popping up on forums, bad soldiered joints, misaligned hdmi sockets, noisy fans, disc drive issues etc

Oh forgot to add, there's some bits rattling around inside as well!

Good turn around times on the replacements from Sony, hats off to them.

I have the same problem. Was advised by sony to rebuild the databased in Safe mode. Anyone tried that and did it help?

Yeah I tried that... it was weird because when I clicked it, it said it would take a few hours but it literally done it in like 2 seconds but nothing happened

Which option did you try in Safe mode?

Just this minute had the same problem. Missus was dusting and accidentally turned the PS4 on, it ejected the disc inside and carried on trying to eject every 5-10 seconds. Tried rebuilding the database but no joy so turned it off and unplugged the mains from the back and left it for a few minutes which seemed to fix the problem.

Lots of problems with the PS4. Sony try to convince us that its a small percentage but in fact is a lot more than the so called acceptance levels. Its on par with the xbox 360 red ring of death.

We have had lots of similar problems but I have just been called a troll for posting this on a review! As it is the second PS4 we have had (first on DOA) we have given up - it is going back and will not be replaced.
