Tried 4 other cables to hit 4k 60Hz over 7m and this is the only one that works

When it comes to 4K @ 60Hz, quality and length really do matter. Most people won't even utilise 4K @ 60hz as all they are doing is watching TV, which typically is only broadcast in 24fps, as are just about all movies which have been shot in 24fps for the past 100+ years. When it comes to gaming though, if you have enough GPU power, you can hit 60fps in 4K and that's where it counts having the capability to hit that bandwidth.

I went through 4 different cables before finding this one. When you go over 7.6m (25ft), normal HDMI cables will fail to transmit more than 4K @ 30hz. If you need anything much longer than that, you're in the fiber HDMI category and they can be £200+

I was just about to cop for a fiber HDMI cable when I decided to try this and to my amazement, it works perfectly. The source is my PC which has a 980ti GPU in it and it's feeding in to my UHD60 4k Optoma projector @ 60Hz over a 7m cable. The one before this was a different make but it was 7.5m and although it did work, it would lose the signal intermittently.

Now I can send the others back and get myself something else in place of them :)

Great for anything up to 4k UHD but not for 4k HDR

Fantastic cable for all HDMI connections up to 4k UHD, but have found if you are using this for a 4k HDR system, or a ultra 4k premium certified or more recently a 4k system with Dolby vision or HDR10+ then this cable will deffo cause problems from starting up then just having a blank screen or if you are lucky to get a picture it will randomly flash for a split second either a green or bluish colour, at first I thought it was my system playing up, then realised you need a different HDMI cable for these newer spec 4k systems, if you have a 4k system that doesn't have the above mentioned names then this cable is a cracker for price to performance, if you do have a 4k system with any if the above names like HDR then you gave to buy a HDMI 2.0a or 2.0b as these are super high speed cable certified but more importantly the 2.0a or 2.0b can handle the extra information needed for the colour pallette that HDR or Dolby vision needs, this cable can only handle up to the older 4k UHD only systems, and if you really want to be future proof as far as you can for now go for a HDMI 2.0b cable, totally backward compatible as well, I hope this helps people better understand the differences of HDMI cables to the newer specs coming out for 4k

As others have said, you can pay a heck of a lot more buying HDMI cables that are frankly not
going to make the picture quality any better than this reasonably priced item.
Sadly you can buy cables that arn't equall to the task and will disappoint, many have recommeded
the IBRA cable (use mine to connect my 5-Port HDMI Switch-Box to my TV ....assuredly sound advice
- can recommend.

The new soundbar refused to work with the old hdmi cable, and that almost ruined the impact of having a new 4k tV and sound system.

But, I've run a movie from the laptop to the TV using this cable and both sound and video were amazing.

I discovered my "new" cable actually dated back to 2010, and there's been several improvements in HDMI spec over the last 8 years, hence the failures when new equipment uses old cables.

If you've bought a new soundbar, or TV, then get a brand new cable to go with it... or you may find you get radio silence out of the soundbar.

The look of these cables is impressive, and they feel robust, and are difficult to tangle up.

The cable quality looks good. But after a while & not realising due to the TV giving a high quality picture,
These cables don't give the as stated speed or needed signal for 4k 50-60hz so a proper HDR signal can't be provided for my ps4 Pro or Xbox One X Scorpio.!
And for a while both consoles have been flicking to a black screen for a couple of seconds & the Xbox also had a snowy picture!. . To the point where I sent the Xbox back to MS for a factory check/reset etc, got the same Xbox back with a factory reset & health check.
But still the same flashing/snowy screen.
Ive just changed TV's from a Samsung SUHD js8500 to a Sony AG8 OLED TV. And the black flashing screen has started on this TV. So has to be the cables.
if your not using the fastest HDMI port or don't have them enabled to use 4k etc you "Might" be OK for a while.!

I'm pulling these cables out the wall & investing in proper "Certified" high speed cables..

Good cables just not for pc or consoles full potential..

I have purchased and used several of these cables over the past 2 years and ran them between my blu ray, sky, fire TV and av amp. I used 2 meter lengths and for the most part, they have served well, doing the job of passing a signal between two sources. They transmit 4k, HDR10, Atmos, SACD, DVD-A very well. However, I have found that the cables that are used most, TV to amp and sky to amp, fail compared to the lesser used ones between blu ray and fire TV. When they fail, the picture will glitch, going blank temporarily and the sound will pop. In the first instance, I check the electronics then swap cables around. Swapping the cables for a lesser used cable fixes the issue, but eventually, those cables begin to fail too. Last year, I began replacing the cables with a branded cable, yes more expensive, £23 for 1 meter, but the more expensive cables have so far outlived these Ibra ones.
