I was expecting to buy a new MacBook Pro but when Apple didn't announce a new one, I decided to rebuild my daughter's old Mid 2010 Pro. Apple said I could only upgrade to a max of 8 gigs, but after some debates in some forums, I was convinced I could install these. It was a successful gamble. Along with these 16 gigs of RAM, I installed a new SSD and replaced my keyboard and screen. Less than $500 and my computer is brand new again and Super SUPER fast. Highly recommend trying this approach and having your kids help so they can do it for themselves at some point. The idea of rebuilding your computer is kind of scary, but contrary to what the Apple Store or my Ex Husband told me, it doesn't take a genius.

This is great, I purchased it to upgrade the ram on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010). I went from 4GB to 16GB. (I had to update to El Capitan, and download the EFI firmware update from Apple.com first). It worked perfectly for me, much faster and no more spinning beach ball.

If you have a mid-2010 Mac mini (a year or so before Apple made them user unfriendly), these work perfectly! I usually go with Crucial, but OWC are excellent as well. I've gone from the original 2GB to 8GB, and now with OS 10.11.6 to a new maximum of 16 GB of RAM. Sweet!

Very disappointed; both modules have bad memory. I have the latest firmware, the computer recognized all the memory but now it randomly crashes. Sending it back for a refund. Thanks to Amazon for making it an easy process.
