Tough cop Eddie Boone is accidentally injected with the highly addictive narcotic called Ozone during a drug bust. He finds himself suspended from duty after the main suspect is shot dead and his partner goes missing, only to suffer hallucinations where dealers can change shape. Victims of Ozone ultimately mutate into followers of the Drug Lord; Eddie must stop the drug from taking him over before it is too late.

The film is an odd mixture. At its centre it has a rather good story (and screen play) and could definitely benefit from a bigger budget remake (if it hasn't happened already and I missed it). The acting is generally not very good, with the exception of Black, who can actually act a bit (and so he sometimes gives the, unintended, impression that this is a spoof by actually acting in response to what is going on around him - and some of it is pretty silly (exhibit 1: the scene in the empty car park) - while most of the others on screen pretty much can't).
The gore and special effects are mostly not bad for the bargain basement budget (and the times), give or take.
It is flawed, in my opinion. In addition to the acting, the video quality is poor, the synthy score is overdone for me, but I still watched it to the end......for some reason.
For low budget (nostalgia) fans.
A cop is infected, another cop disappears, and the first cop then spends the film looking for his partner aswell as the person responsible for the drug. He experiences various situations which may or may not be real.
In the first 15 minutes we see a head explode then a man gets his hand cut off and a bit later we see a body disolve into a skeleton.
As far as indy films go and considering how long ago it was made i found it to be an interesting effort which i enjoyed. If anything it could have done with a bit more gore. Some people will hate the cheesiness and the bad acting and the lack of a decent plot and the unexplained goings on and any other failings that many people look for instead of enjoying this for what it is. A "B" movie entertainment experience.
(Had a UK release but whether that had any extras i do not know.)
Extras include a com and other stuff. USA Release Region 1.
He decides to investigate himself and after encountering a zombie who refers to Eddie as his 'brother', he finds himself getting deeper into an increasingly bizarre adventure.
This film has the look and feel of an 80's straight to video horror, and has a dark, nightmarish feel to it, partly due to the low budget, and murky picture quality. I enjoyed it a lot, and if you are a fan of gory low budget horror you will too. The other reviewers who have labelled it as 'the worst film I've ever seen' really can't have seen many films, as theres a lot worse out there.
Another winner from J.R Bookwalter, with an excellent performance from James Black. 4 out of 5
Please do not buy this unless you need a very bad film for some reason. make your own film, it will be better quality than this dross.
