Drew surprised me, I wasn’t sure what shape his story would take but yet again Lani Lynn Vale knocked it out the park.
Aspen was fabulous, a spitfire of a woman who is currently under house arrest as punishment for the destruction she took justification on reigning down on the truck of her cheating a$$ of an ex. He was lucky that it was an inanimate object that she decided to beat the c**p out of, had it been him, well I’m not sure he would have been able to show his face, as desperate as her actions were, it could have been much worse, I actually think she held her fury well.
I found myself smiling at her completely understandable righteous indignation and settled fairly quickly to the fact that I was going to adore Aspen, her heart was very much in the right place even if she didn’t seem to have a verbal filter.
So, as much as I was content in the company of this fabulous woman, when Drew entered the fray I was done for.
Still married but desperately trying to finalise a divorce, Drew lives opposite Aspen and is completely enamoured by her, she fascinates him but is that enough to have him changing his mind about whether or not his future contains enough room to invite her in, after all his crazy a** ex and his belligerent teenage daughter is piling on him, he just might not be in the right place at the minute.
Inevitably they strike up a friendship that was only ever destined to head one way and I have to say that once I saw how they embraced her product testing, I knew they are in it for the long haul, I giggled my butt off at the two of them once I knew what she was reviewing!

5 Stars

As always this was another one of Lani Lynn Vale's books that just hit the mark, her writing always sucks me in right from the very first word and this one was no different. I stayed up until 6am to finish it.

Aspen has been put on house arrest after a run in with her cheating cop boyfriend! She got a pretty sh!tty deal if you ask me. I loved Aspen, she was a real spitfire and didn't hold anything back. Her reactions to some of the situations were hilarious.

Aspen is Downy's sister, and I have to say I
Lost a lot of the respect for him I had. I couldn't believe how he treated Aspen and I may or may not have shed a few tears over it at one point.

Drew moved in across the road from Aspen but wasn't looking for a relationship. In his opinion women were crazy and he had enough crazy to last him a lifetime. Drew was like most of Lani's men, hot, a badass, loveable and a complete alpha. I loved him instantly.

Lani constantly has my emotions changing while reading her stories. There were parts that were laugh out loud funny then others that made my heart ache. I love her writing and am always impatiently waiting for the next book. I love the fact the different series all crossover with each other, it's great seeing some old faces from books I have loved.

Once again Lani has created a story to fall in love with. The prologue kind of kep you guessing throughout the book about certain aspects (pick this up if you want to know). Drew is a divorced dad who moved in across from the hilarious and delightful Aspen who is on house arrest for a crime that I believe most women will want to commit. Aspen is also a blogger who does reviews on products and some just so happen to need the hot and delicious guy who just so happens to becoming her friend and maybe more across the street. What started off as a friendship or just plain keeping each other company lead to a love unlike no other. This book is packed fun with quotes an hilarious hijinks along with a little bit of supense and OMG moments that will leaving you laughing out loud and enjoying every minute of it. Kudos Lani for another read and ALPHA hero/heroine to desperately wish was a friend in real life.

Oxygen Deprived is another great instalment in the Kilgore Fire series. Funny, sassy and hot.... the story had me from the very first page.

Aspen is crazy, but in a really cool, funny and extremely likeable way. A woman scorned, I was totally with her reaction to her cheating git of an ex.... If I had been there I'd have been cheering her on all the way! Our leading lady is a blogger and some of her 'reviews' had me in stitches!! :D

Drew had experienced crazy before and thought he'd had enough of it, but he'd never encountered Aspen.... A divorced dad of a teenage daughter, our leading man was a hot as hell firefighter and I loved that he was that bit older!!

Their initial meeting while Aspen was on house arrest shortly after Drew moved into the area was funny and set the tone for most of their story. They start off slow, spending time together, getting to know each other and some of their interactions are laugh out loud funny. Their relationship starts to develop and it's sweet, fun, hot and sexy - these two seem to have quite literally been meant for each other!! ;)

We meet up with characters from earlier books in the Kilgore Fire series as well as other series of Lani's. Both our leading characters have ex's that pop up, creating trouble and being a general PITA!!
I loved how both Aspen and Drew felt strongly enough about each other to fight and overcome the issues that they faced and that they didn't let things affect their growing relationship.

There was a bit of intrigue and suspense, loads of laughs, tons of heat and sexual attraction. I adored the prologue and couldn't wait to see how that worked into the story.

With each book Lani writes, this series just gets better and better and I can't wait for the next instalment..

Oxygen Deprived is a definite 5 star read in my humble opinion!! *****
