Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Still early on in the process of quitting but very impressed with the results so far. A thoroughly researched, scientific, rigorous, almost foolproof self-help manual which puts the likes of Allen Carr and other stopping smoking authors to shame. I was a convert to Cognitive Behavioural Techniques ever since they lifted me out of depression and low self-esteem but smoking has proved the tougher one to beat. Given the extent to which I'm a smokaholic (30 roll ups a day), I am exceedingly impressed with the results so far of this particular book and, unlike the dreadful and arrogant Allen Carr, this book is level headed, sincere and gives you all the tools for a successful quitting smoking programme in a way that you only have yourself to blame if you relapse - the event of which this book also deals with in detail.

A great addition to an already excellent series.

Update. Been three days smoke free since using this book's method 5 days ago (which is a seven to ten day programme) - along with patches - which just shows how effective this method is as I usually only last two hours at most when 'quitting'. A lot of the techniques explained in the book are helpful in other areas of life and with dealing with stress generally... Have taken up meditation as well, one of the suggestions in the book. Thank you David Marks, I was convinced I was lost cause when it came to smoking!
