2.0 out of 5 stars got cheated out by 3 full sections. 11 Jan. 2017
By Gingerela - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Board book Verified Purchase
The book is beautifully illustrated with interestingly placed finger holes to pick and play "peek-a-boo." While it was a great book until number 7, the number 8, 9 10 are crowded on ONE page making it hard to read. I understand that the page was too small and it ran out of place to put 3 additional holes, but comparing to how great the number 1 - 7 was, it was extra disappointing for the parents to have to "CRAM" number 8, 9, and 10. It needs an update on design.
5.0 out of 5 stars but it is one of my favorite rhymes/songs I used to sing to my children 19 Jan. 2016

The book did not come with the CD, but it is one of my favorite rhymes/songs I used to sing to my children. I look forward to reading it to my kiddos at work.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Board Book, not the Paperback 12 Dec. 2010
By Liz Brian - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I got this book from the library in the Board Book version and loved it! Then I ordered it from Amazon and got the paperback version because it came with the CD. The paperback version is exactly the same as the Board Book, but the "book with holes" concept does not work in a paperback. Many of the holes are very close to the edge of the pages and will rip with only one read from most children. It's basically useless. The Board Book is the same price, so just get that one. It is great! One of our all-time favorites.

So, five stars for the Board Book and 1 star for the Paperback.

Also, I do not know what version the reviewer is referring to about the "holes where eyes should be." That is not the case with the Board Book or Paperback versions. I think he/she may be referring to a different
"Classic Book with Holes." I know the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star does have the holes for eyes.
2.0 out of 5 stars last 3 stanzas cheated 2 April 2017

The original poem goes up to 10. This book technically goes up to 10, but 8-10 are crammed onto the last page with small writing - not conducive to reading with a small child on your lap and a lot of on one page for a child that's eager to turn pages. The inconsistent formatting seems lazy and cheap.
4.0 out of 5 stars I like this book 14 Mar. 2015

I like this book, it is long and I wish this series printed the music on the back cover. This song I know a few others I do not and I have to research them on line. The cutouts are entertaining and the colors are bright. I think this series will grow with the child and there will be more to discuss as the child understands more concepts.
