Loved the factual, informative side of the book combined with the poetry. Can't wait for the reaction from the children! Also thought it was well illustrated.

HASH(0x8a41bc84) out of 5 stars Fun and Factual 17 Feb. 2012
By Jill A Allen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Review by my 14 year old son:

I thought this book was extremely informative about some of the facts about space. Each fact had an accompanying poem which was really neat. My favorite poem was "Weightless Wonder" about zero gravity in space. I am 14 years old and even though this book is meant for kids, I enjoyed reading it. The illustrations were cool, especially the space suit one. I plan to read this book to my younger brother and I'm sure he will like it, too. -Duncan N. Allen

HASH(0x8ad5396c) out of 5 stars Highly recommended: fun, informative poems on a kid's favorite subject 26 Aug. 2012
By Deborah Sandford - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Concrete, Haiku, and otherwise, these poems are fabulous! The author has an incredible aptitude for imbuing intriguing facts into engaging poems. Captivating illustrations complement the poems entirely. Sidebars illuminate each poem with (sometimes) little known facts: I didn't know Venus' rotation is different than the other planets, or that Uranus rotates on its side. As a librarian, I'm hard-pressed where to classify this book--with poetry or astronomy? This is a perfect classroom, library, or personal book for your favorite star-gazer.And, finally, the perfect rhyme to answer the question: Twinkle, twinkle, little star/ how I wonder what you are.
