This reminds me of an updated "Love Story". I cried through the last third of the book. It was an emotional read for me as I lost a close friend to cancer. It hits so close to home. The writer has you laughing and crying in the same paragraph. I have to say that Missy Johnson can tell a beautiful, emotionally packed story that draws you in from page one. This book will always hold a special place in my heart. It will make you feel every emotion under the sun and then more. I wish I could give it more than five stars. I have never read any of Missy's work and most certainly will have her on my favourite list to read.

You know from the synopsis the basics of the story but nothing prepared me for just how much this book affected me, it gutted me I had to stop several times because I couldn't read through the tears. It's emotional. It's uplifting. It's about love and loss and it's just really good.

FIVE WORTHY STARS

Reviewed by Sharon Thérèse Nuttall for Kindle Friends Forever

I must confess that this is the first book I have read by this author and I had no idea what to expect. Goodness gracious me! I was literally sucked into a whirlwind of emotions from the first page of the prologue! This beautifully written story is about life, death, undying love, and above all, complete and utter trust between three lifelong friends.

The protagonists’ tightly-knit relationship is put into perspective when we read flashbacks of Em’s memories throughout this incredibly heart-wrenching love story. Although they all have their own stories to tell, the crux of the matter is without a doubt, Andy. His battle against the clock, his wish to please the two people he loves while suffering such a dire illness, his compunction to live life to the best of his possibilities, is described by the author in minuscule detail. A warning here folks! Get your hankies ready because Andy, Em and Seth are going to rock your boat in an ocean of grief, a touch of happiness and yes, humour! Just to give you an idea of how absorbing this story is—mundane things like going to sleep were insignificant!

Since time is Andy’s enemy, he gives them a list of unfulfilled wishes which they’ll do their utmost to accomplish. Get ready for a laugh and a half here because some of the things he asks them to do are hilarious. They've stood by him through thick and thin since youngsters and it’s his way of saying how much he appreciates their undeniable love. The last wish was not exactly unexpected, but when it happened, it left me mentally distraught. It also made me reflect upon many who have left someone dear behind.

This book deserves so many more than five stars!!

Out of reach is one of the most touching stories about three best friends and a love so real and beautiful.
Get your tissues ready before starting to read this book.
such a gripping heart felt story that I couldn't put it down.

Andy, Seth and Em have the most amazing bond that seems to go beyond a simple friendship, there connection carries the story right from the page into your heart. These three love each other so much , there's nothing they wouldn't do for each other.

The way the trio work through Andy's bucket list makes you laugh and smile even though there are big fat tears dripping off your face, the tattoo shop scene was awesome.

This book has shredded my insides right from the prologue to the very end. I spent practically the whole book with a huge lump in my throat with tears rolling down my face. You will love this story the writing was awesome, Missy puts so much feeling and realistic emotion into her words you cannot fail to love this book.

The ending was well thought out and really fitting.

This is a heartbreakingly beautiful story of death friendship and having the courage to move on and love again.
