Robust, great for fast charging

Absolutely love these cables, which are the perfect accompaniment to my Nexus 6P. Having previously been geared up to power via micro USB, these cables allow me to use existing charging bases with the 6P, rather than having to shift everything across to USB C, which is ideal in a family where my husband has an iPhone and my son a Samsung S5 - there's a tendency for the place to look like spaghetti junction if we're not careful.

These cables are also very robust - I bought them as a replacement for a previous pack from Orzly, of which all the cables have ended up loaned to friends who've been reluctant to give them up, they're so good. Will definitely buy again if the need arises.

Compared to Orzly's original USB Type C cables, these cables are a lot less flexible.

Also the Rubber housing around the type C end of the cable is quite large and might not fit in your phone if you have a case, I had to modify my case Nexus 5X Case, Ringke FUSION ** Shock Absorption Technology** [FREE Screen Protector][SMOKE BLACK] Scratch Resistant Clear Back Drop Protection Bumper Case for Google New Nexus 5X / 5 2nd Gen. 2015 so that the connector would fit through the bottom of the case.

I also would of preferred the cables to be longer, the cable length is approximately 1metre, and its just a little short to reach my phone on my bedside table, and because the the cable is stiff it doesn't sit well on it.

But other than these gripes, thess cables are great value for money

Update - If you have the Adopted case from Google for the Nexus 6P, this will not fit through the slot provided to charge the phone. You would have to trim quite a bit off the plug plastic case or make the hole better.

I paid for this product and give my honest review.

The cable is thick and feels very substantial and able to withstand the riggors of daily use. The cable correctly states on my Nexus 6p that it is charging and not quick charging and it also passes the 'CheckR' app. Obviously it isn't charging as fast as the USB - C to USB - C charger and lead provided with the phone but charges up to around 2.1A, so not too bad and as good as you'll safely get with USB-A. The only downside was that the USB - C plug is on the large size, it makes it strong but a tight fit in my Ringke case. I don't need to modify anything but you might if you use a different case.

I had bought and returned the previous (mark 1) lead, this is better in every way and far more substantial. This is a must buy item and the value for money is nearly 4 times that of any other correctly wired lead I've looked at. Don't just think about it, you won't find anything better and certainly not for this price.

My second purchase of this pack of USB A-C cables. Originally purchased the first generation which were non-complaint. CheckR reports these cables as safe to use. The cables came packed in a rather damaged box, which wasn't sealed with one cable already fallen out of the box. The one of the cables was twisted different to the others and I suspect this is a repackaged return. The cables are made of a much tougher plastic than the first generation and are slightly less flexible than the original cable that come with the Nexus 5X. The USB C connector is the same width as the Nexus 5X original cable but doesn't grip quite so well when plugged in, so far more liable to slip out of the socket. The cables work and are compliant but USB C connector need to be much better.

Good cables, charge nice and quickly, however, within a week of using one, the USB-c end snapped off. I ignored this and carried on using the others, however just yesterday the second cable snapped off in the same way. Definitely not happy.

Very good quality, sturdy, meaty cables. These appear to conform to USB specs and so charge my device correctly. The cables are well built, plugs feel solid. The USB C plug is of unibody construction (no seams) for added rigidity.

The cable itself is very thick, which can make them somewhat inflexible but that's not a problem for me. Nice colour selection too. Please be aware, however, that the actual plug housings do not look like they do in the image. There is no flexible cable relief and no tapering of the plug housing.

Great price for a 4 pack (16 £ - 4 each).
Has been tested for the USB standards specifications.
Great product and the only thing to point out is that on the USB-C side the plastic around is a bit chunky and I had some issues to fit it on my OnePlus 2 WITH a cover (Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit Case for OnePlus Two) where the charger/cable entry point is tight so I had to MacGyver it a bit and now fits perfectly (without the cover there's no issues)

Type C compliant cables that look great

Bought these so I could have a cable to charge my Nexus 6P at home, work and in the car (plus a spare to carry around in my bag). They work really well and I love the colours (they look just like the product image). They are compliant with the Type-C specification (unlike a lot of other cables around at the moment) which is a BIG plus as I don't need to worry about them causing damage to chargers or my phone. As others have said the plastic around the Type-C end is quite big but I have no problems connecting it to my phone even when it's in a case.
