Kids need all the help they can get to learn how to manage their finances properly, and their financial education cannot start too early. Orson found this out when he met Captain Harrison, who took him to meet various people to teach him about being smart with his money. The beginning of the story set the scene perfectly, and I ended up reading the whole first chapter when I opened it up to check it had downloaded properly. I hadn’t intended to read more than a few lines, but it drew me in with talk of “a galleon laden with exotic goods from far off lands.” The oddball characters Orson met were well-drawn and entertaining. The illustrations in the story were perfect. I wonder if the author will put the songs to music some time? My kids would love that!
