Well this is a must-read for anyone who follows Eileen WIlks and her world. Here at last is the answer to the mysterious shields that the Cullen (important character in the world of the Lupi series) has acquired somehow - with no memory.

As with all the books, the world is immersive and believable, despite the extraordinary concepts described. Hard to say anything about the plot without giving away too much. However, the hero/heroine both have their obstacles, these are overcome in an ingenious fashion and we have a happy ending by the skin of our teeth.

Even though this is a novella, it has enough of everything to be quite satisfying as a story in its own right, even if you take out the essential curiosity factor re Cullen. More background is hinted at which could be significant to the overall story arc of the series.

A good read.
