Fantastic product, saved me chucking a good pair of boots.

I had previously bought a pair of waterproof walking boots from a "reputable" on line source, no names mentioned but it rhymes with space invaders, which were waterproof all right until the sole started separating from the upper at the front/toe area after one winter's wear. I had lost the guarantee by that time and was stupid enough to just think I had got a rogue pair. So I chucked them and bought a similar pair from same source at another £35 - £40 and , after one winter's wear, exactly the same thing happened.

I thought this is getting beyond a joke; 35 quid a pop and only lasting one winter, and the boots were a very good fit, very comfortable and still in good condition otherwise, so I looked around for some means of repair and came across this.

I just squirted some goo liberally between the separating sole and upper, clamped it between two bits of wood using a G-Clamp and left it over night. The result, a weld between the sole and upper again that you just could not pull apart and was entirely waterproof.

So overall I am very satisfied with this product; it does what it says and has saved me 35 quid or more for under a tenner and I have got plenty left for other repairs. Thoroughly recommended.

Well 5 days before I was due to walk 96 miles in 7 days across Scotland, over rough and unforgiving paths, climbing mountains and jumping streams... my already well worn boots developed an issue. The sole coming away at from the boot was going to be a bit of problem. I didnt want to buy new boots at this late stage as I'd never wear them in in time for the long road ahead. What I needed was some kind of glue that would hold and be flexible and waterproof long enough for the journey. Even if it lasted half the distance I'd be happy. So I took a gamble and bought a big tube of Shoe Goo. Arrived 2 days before I was due to leave and I quickly set to work, generously squeezing the glue in to the gap and clamping the sole to the boot. Looked pretty good next day so I added a second layer around the toe to be sure. On the morning of departure the boot looked pretty strong...

Over the next seven days I battled through every kind of terrain. Boulders, streams, rivers, massive climbs, long descents and distances as much as 19 miles! I checked the boot every day and it seemed to be holding well. I could not believe it! This stuff is amazing!

So the boots made it safely all the way from Milngavie to Fort William with Shoe Goo holding them together. Incredible! Shoe Goo! You are my savior!!! Thank you!

Situation: A split across the ball of the foot on a sole of a pair of New Rock boots.
Solution: After trying to locate somewhere to get new soles to no avail and using every type & strength of glue known to mankind, this stuff was my last option before splashing out £160.oo on a new pair of boots.

Well, six months on and the repair has held sure & steadfast. To be fair, I did smother the Shoe Goo everywhere and did a second applications once the first had set. It's absolutely fantastic stuff!!!

I will never need another brand of glue for this type of job EVER.

I hope this will assist with your purchase.

As a skater I rip my shoes within less than a week of having them typically and I'm sure anyone who skateboards will understand. This shoe goo is a money saver for me as I don't have to constantly buy a pair of new shoes to skate in every month.

I wear down the same part of one shoe from a pair from kickflips constantly but the shoe goo makes it last so much longer. I basically apply one layer of shoe goo to the torn area, wait for it to dry and double it up with another layer. I've tried single layers before but it didn't work out as it would just tear again within a week but doubling the layers makes it last for about 3 weeks at the most. This definitely makes it possible for me to skate longer in a pair of shoes I like.

It doesn't come with a spreader but I'm sure there's something in the house you can use, I just used a plastic spork.

I'm not sure what the science behind this shoe goo is but I would definitely recommend this to anyone who skateboards.

Absolutely fantastic stuff for repairing boots and shoes.

Make sure you apply it in thin layers rather than one thick layer and use a piece of card to apply it.

Avoid getting on your fingers, dog, cat etc

This is a brilliant product, I have been using shoe goo for the best part of 20 years on all types of footwear, running and walking shoes included. My outside heel wears very quickly and without this stuff I'd be throwing fairly decent shoes in the bin. A bit of (temporary) duct tape around the edge and you can build the heel back to normal level easily.

Bought this to repair a really worn cracked pair of shoes that my mum can't bear to part with. The moulded soles are not the sort a cobbler can replace or patch up so Shoe Goo was my last resort. The tubes arrived in a flash and I must say it's a positive thing to have the quantity in 2 tubes rather than a single large one, as all adhesives get quite tacky if opened, used then reopened months later. This way you're dealing with a nice manageable sized dispenser and it'll keep 'fresh' longer too. The seller considerately encloses 2 spare nozzles, a spatula and gloves which more than makes up for there not being a cardboard package. Basic instructions on the tube are easily augmented by checking the vast array of Youtube guides. I found lots of really great videos there to show how to use Shoe Goo for a variety of different projects. It's nowhere near as smelly or difficult to handle as I imagined after reading some reviews, although the videos and helpful hints like 'pop a little vaseline around the tube opening before using to prevent it seizing closed when you screw the top on'... I've successfully managed to repair two cracks across the soles of mum's favourite shoes and for very little outlay or effort. I was able to spread the Goo with the spatula to mimic the existing tread on the shoes so was happy enough with the look I achieved and like a lot of the Youtube vloggers suggest, used lots to cover the area liberally, which has given a secure flexible bond. Spreading a decent pound coin sized blob of Shoe Goo into the cracks and over some worn areas actually reinforced the sole nicely and strengthened the repair.
I'd heartily recommend trying Shoe Goo and particularly appreciated the great price and service I received from this Amazon seller. Off to find some more projects now that I've discovered it's actually possible to repair such clapped out shoes...
