Kaico Edition
Kaico created a simple 'plug and play' solution to provide users easy access to use an HDMI input on a modern TV. Before this the only options for Original Xbox to HD TV playback was a compendium of multiple converters and cables which was a complete eye sore. The Kaico version of the Xbox HD Link adapter is designed to circumvent that by offering a simple yet cost effective solution. This means there is no need for a messy and unnecessary jumble of cables and converters. Just one simple cable from Xbox console to HD TV.
Component Quality Image over HDMI
This Xbox adapter HDMI cable is designed to be a simple and effective HDMI upgrade/conversion from the standard composite and SCART Xbox cable that came as stock. The entire library of Original Xbox games is supported, meaning that this HDMI adapter will work with them without any issues. As this adapter converts the highest quality output of an Original Xbox (Component) you get the best quality visuals out of your old Xbox console.

The output resolution is game dependant so don't expect 720p or 1080i on all games, I leave mine at 720p as a sweet spot as very few games output 1080i anyway. Either way the image is always going to be much sharper than AV cables.
Only negative I have noticed is the image is a little darker, few more crushed blacks but nothing that can't be sorted by adjusting the tvs contrast and brightness a little.
All in all I'm very impressed and would recommend as a HDMI option for your xbox without having to open it up and soldering in a more expensive hardware mod. This cable is a fine option at a decent price and as a added bonus doesn't require external power.
I may seem like I am being harsh but after seeing PS2 games perform at 4K native using PCSX2 on PC its hard to compare this cable. It does however provide another big plus and that is that it provides PCM digital audio which is not possible through the old school component cable and it sounds amazing in comparison.
One final thing I noticed that there where very small vertical lines moving in a diagonal path when looking at the image up close. This doesn't really bother me but its something I thought was worth sharing.
Overall I would reccomend this cable but if your used to emulating systems like the ps2,ps3 or Gamecube you will be slightly disappointed
*Edit* for best results use this with an Mclassic cable which upscales to 1080p then put it through an amp that upscales to 4K if using a UHD display*
The image looks almost as good as native 1080p in most games.
On SOME games (I do stress some) like Silent Hill 2 or Obscure I get odd purple vertical lines appearing on the screen which was a bit annoying. I tried different HDMI cables but no change. However when playing 2D games or some other 3D games it was perfect and a brilliant picture. I tried setting the XBOX to Pal 50 / 60 but no change and swapping HDMI ports didn't help, changing aspect ratio. To be honest unless you are sat right next to the TV it isn't something you will really notice. It's worth the money.

I've attached some images of Beyond Good and Evil running at 480p on a 4k 65" tv, that should give you a good indication of quality. Running something like Crash Nitro Kart (which outputs natively at 720p in NTSC mode) looks about as good as a modern game frankly. Bear in mind only games supporting different native outputs will work, and it needs to be in NTSC, and you need to then set the allow output in the original dashboard. If you're on a standard not-softmodded PAL xbox then you're stuck with Pal 50hz mode and 480p output.

Oddly it stretches the screen when the Xbox is set to Windscreen, so the image is off. When set to 4:3 the HDMI adapter looks like it alters that to fit a widescreen (circles are still circles). As the Xbox itself already had this function it threw me the first time i used it. I have now set my xbox to 4:3 and it fits my widescreen screen perfectly.
Excellent value so far and you can get year warranty.
