This book contains two of my all-time favorite origami models to fold - Lang's "Lionfish" and Montroll's "Freshwater Angelfish". It also has Montroll's unpublished "Swordfish" and Lang's "Siamese FIghting Fish" and "Gourami" which have never been published.
The original book became a classic for a reason: the diagrams were some of the clearest ever written at the time and the models are fun to fold. With that said, there are some models which will certainly frustrate the beginner - specifically the "Lionfish" which has some very advanced details. In some cases, the trick is to read the diagrams carefully - some landmarks are easy to misjudge. The good news is that there is nothing here which is beyond mastery with a bit of patience. This book is a good choice for the mid-level beginner who has patience - and a fascination with marine life. And veteran folders looking for a mid-level challenge will also love these models.
Note: The companion book to this is "Undersea Life In Origami" which contains, among other things, Robert Lang's "Black Devil Anglerfish".
