The star on the cover is not in the book. I love origami and the ones here are more for a toddler or someone with no grasp of origami.

Could use some to fold your napkins into.

Its okay but I thought it would have a bit more than it did and its quite difficult to follow on a kindle. I'll buy a book instead the next time for this sort of thing.

Very basic, possibly good for very young children. Quite disappointing that the directions for the star on the cover is NOT included.

HASH(0x8cf1f270) out of 5 stars Absolute beginning level origami 16 Dec. 2013
By Shala Kerrigan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Origami Vol 1- If someone wanted to start learning origami from the absolute beginning- this collection of models is a good start. They are simple to fold with good clear diagrams. The notation is explained in a key in the beginning of the booklet. The notation isn't quite standard- but it's close enough that you could follow a standard diagram after learning how to make these models.

It's a small collection, with models that would suit younger folders . Some of the models need drawing on, which makes them even better for young folders. There are a couple designs in here that will also need some cutting- they aren't just pure folding.

So a few very simple models, well diagrammed for absolute beginners- my only issue with this volume is the fact that the origami stars on the cover don't seem to actually be in the booklet. They are very simple to make and should have been included.

Origami Vol 2- The reviews for both vols are showing under both books even though I only wrote one review. So I'm editing that review for the second book. It has the same sort of diagrams, and the same sort of very simple models including some that need cutting. I'm a little less impressed with Vol 2 than I was with Vol 1. The models are for absolute beginners, but there is no challenge to improve skills.

HASH(0x8cf1f4bc) out of 5 stars It is Easy to Learn 14 Mar. 2014

Just like the cover says. The illustrations are easy to read and the instructions are easy to follow. Perfect for the beginner. I have one complaint, there are not instructions for the stars on the front of the book. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy from this author again.

HASH(0x8cf1f480) out of 5 stars interesting book 16 Dec. 2013

Interesting book but not many Origami styles to do. I was looking for something with many activities for my kids, but did work out that way with this. I guess it's good to learn the basics.

HASH(0x8cf1f774) out of 5 stars A Very Helpful Entry Level Guide!! 9 Dec. 2013
By Dr. Johnson C. Philip - Published on Amazon.com

I was fascinated by Origami when it was demonstrated to us by an Origami book-seller when I was in my early school years. Since then I have been collecting Origami books with a passion. Thus I acquired this book with great interest because now scores of origami books can be carried in a small reader if multiple titles are made available.

True to my expectation, this turned out to be a very simple and easy to learn guide to entry level Origami. The pictures are self explanatory and are in color. This mans that if you open this book in a color reader, tab, or computer, then you will get the full benefit of this book.

I highly recommend this volume as an entry level guide to Origami. Remember, if you wish to do more complex folding, then you have to start here!!

HASH(0x8cf1f7d4) out of 5 stars Awesome I love it 11 Nov. 2014

it's a fun book and it has well guided instructions and is easy to learn. The things they have in there are pretty cool and at the same time my 5 year old sister Sophia can do them perfectly. I really want you to get this book!
