This huge, 26 piece floor puzzle makes learning the alphabet fun. Each letter of the alphabet is represented on a single, large piece of puzzle, and each letter shows a corresponding word with a matching, brightly coloured illustration for each word. The whole puzzle, when finished, measures 88cms x 60.5cms, making it one of our largest jigsaws, and it is printed on really sturdy, chunky recycled board. The colours are very bright and cheerful, with appealing illustrations of many familiar, and some not so familiar, things. Although the appropriate age range for this puzzle is from 3 to 6, even younger children will enjoy familiarising themselves with the letters and pointing out the different objects. Older children who are more confident with the alphabet and are learning to read and write can copy the printed words, and later see if they can write them without looking at the puzzle. You can also encourage your child to talk about what they see in the pictures; what would live in a nest? Why might somebody need an x-ray? Who lives in an igloo, and what is it made of? The puzzle will only fit together in the right order, so children will learn the sequence of the alphabet; and because there is just one letter on each piece, you can use the pieces to spell out words, or ask your child to find the letters of simple words that they may know. This award-winning jigsaw will provide lots of play value beyond simply putting it together.
Learn the alphabet and develop early reading skills with this huge ABC floor puzzle. It has a big, chunky jigsaw piece for each letter.

I have to say I think this is a great puzzle/toy for a 2 yr. old. Naturally at this stage it is far too early for her to learn the alphabet, but its a great way of spending time with your daughter and trying to educate her on the alphabet.
Pieces are large and sturdy and come in a sturdy box. The puzzle will not last for ever but I reckon it will do the job nicely for the next 12 months or so. Brightly coloured with pictures - and so its very very engaging for young children!
I bought this for my 3 yo so he could start learning the alphabet and recognising letters and because it’s a jigsaw, he has lots of fun searching for the letter and then adding the next piece.
Since we’ve had this jigsaw my son fully knows the alphabet song – as we sing it while finding the pieces and he’s learnt the names of all the pictures on the pieces also i.e. A = Astronaught, R = Rocket and so on. There are a few odd pictures for the letters such as G = Gate and X = X-ray that little ones may not get initially, but it’s great for them building up their vocabulary and perceptions of things.
I would definitely recommend this to people keen to help their kids develop through a fun way of play.
