As a blues fan and singer I am always looking for good songs and bought this during a browsing session on the back of the audio preview. This is a good upbeat mid-tempo guitar based blues track with vocals that whilst of not great range, are good with nice tone and quality that include some good harmonies.

The lyrics describe a day between a couple in love who sneaked out and spent time by a lake whilst orange trees blossomed. The chorus is catchy and the music solid with horns padding out the standard bass, drums, guitar and keyboards - tags suggest southern rock, jazz, modern or contemporary blues which which it really isn't as the brass and wall of sound production gives it a definate 60's mowtown feel.

The song format is pretty standard and nothing wildly different about it that would immediately bring the band to mind until the singer comes in ... he has a good blues/soul voice and I really liked the energy and soulful singing - no great long guitar solos for those who enjoy that sort of thing but some nice little riffs played well in all the right places and a catchy chorus.

I had not heard of these artists before so a good introduction and enough to make me mark them for further listening ;-)
