Oral-B TriZone 3000 is a triple-action, deep cleaning toothbrush designed around the way you naturally brush
Elevate your brushing experience and remove up to 100% more plaque* with the Braun Oral-B TriZone 3000 electric toothbrush. The revolutionary technology behind the TriZone 3000 combines the familiar brushing motion of a manual brush with the comprehensive power of advanced triple zone cleaning action to give you a long lasting clean, fresh feeling. With 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 sweeps per minute, the TriZone 3000 provides an efficient and effective whole-mouth cleaning.*
Each Oral-B toothbrush head comes with a coloured ring that fits on to the base of the replacement brush head. These rings come in a variety of colours allowing you to distinguish between different people’s brush heads if using the same toothbrush handle.
The Triple Zone experience
The first of its kind, the brush head of the TriZone 3000 is divided into three cleaning zones to keep your teeth and gums healthy:
ZONE 1: The dynamic angled power tip is designed to access hard-to-reach areas like the very back teeth while the pulsating, sweeping motion delivers a thorough clean.
ZONE 2: Non-sweeping bristles pulsate on the entire surface of your teeth to fight plaque build-up and ultimately keep all of your teeth clean.
ZONE 3: Sweeping, pulsating bristles reach deep between teeth for a stimulating brushing experience that can improve the overall health of your whole mouth.
Brushing is believing
The TriZone 3000 marries the familiarity of manual brushing with the power of Oral-B’s cutting-edge triple-action deep cleaning technology. This cleaning tool is strong enough to be tough on plaque, but gentle enough for everyday use. It provides improved gum health and a lasting clean, fresh feeling so powerful that once you try it, you’ll never want to go back to your manual brush. With wide sweeping bristles that reach significantly more tooth surface area than a regular manual brush, you can enjoy a comprehensive cleaning.
Why go electric?
The TriZone 3000 has several features to make sure you get the most out of your electric toothbrush:
- A professional timer that ensures you are brushing for the recommended time to get the best results
- Visual pressure sensor stops pulsations and lights up to alert you that you’re brushing too hard
- A rechargeable handle features a long-lasting battery that lasts up to seven days between charges (when brushing two minutes, twice per day)
- Three advanced cleaning modes--Daily Clean, Sensitive and Whitening—to further personalise your brushing experience.
The TriZone 3000 versus a manual brush
The TriZone 3000 was designed to be used like your manual brush while removing up to 100% (two times) more plaque, even between teeth. This brush also reduces gingivitis up to three times better than a regular manual toothbrush, reaches up to two times deeper between teeth and removes four times more plaque along the gum line than a regular manual brush. Innovative motion delivers a superior clean in between teeth while reaching places manual brushes normally miss.
Customise your brushing routine
The TriZone 3000 is also designed to fit the Oral-B FlossAction, ProWhite, Sensitive Clean and Precision Clean rotating brush heads if you desire a precise, tooth-by-tooth cleaning.

I had been using a number of Oral B / Braun rechargable as well as AA battery powered tooth brushes since the 1990's. There were no complaints until the present series of slimmer designs (white coloured plastic body with coloured strip of rubber) (Bought these from UK Amazon in 2014.). The model 4000 battery charge lasted 4 days when new in 2014, dropped to 3 days by 2016 and to two days in 2017. (2 days being 2minutes x twice a day for two days = 8 minutes). Model 3000 has been worse all along as compared to model 4000. In 2017 it is now less that 7 minutes when it suddenly dies during use without the low warning light coming on before hand. Model 1000 battery is holding charge about the same as the 4000 model.
Therefore I cannot recommend this series of tooth brushes cannot be recommended because the two model 5000 of 2004 vintage which I passed onto my partner, allows brushing for at least 5 days (i.e. 10 minutes +). The tooth brushes holding charge of only two days or less are usless to me when travelling because it forces me to take a charger, which is why I can only recommend the 2xAA battery operated Oral B / Braun tooth brush with 2 minute timer which I bought from US Amazon, because Oral B / Braun importer, Proctor & Gamble told me they would not import model with 2 minute timer "because there is no demand for it" ! At least I can put rechargable AA batteries into this and share same charger and spare batteries as the computer mice, presentation remote controller, battery shaver (yes, Braun), etc.
By the way, many of you will have noticed Oral B / Braun inflate these brushes to high prices, can't sell them, and which is probably why we often see them on sale for half price several times a year; and i meant I could not recommend them even at half price.
In 2015 I bought model 600 Special Edition for approximately £12.50. (January Sales) That was before I monitored and realised the poor battery performances of this series of brushes. I bought the 600 SE because it came with travel case, which alone costs about £10. If you can find model 600 for this price and comes with case, only then perhaps would it be worth considering a purchase.
First of all it works. This toothbrush is undoubtedly more effective than an ordinary brush in reaching the difficult nooks and crannies of my mouth. And once it gets there it buzzes away to do the hard work painlessly. It is neither too severe nor too gentle in its action, just right. I notice the difference after I have used this brush to clean my teeth compared again to an ordinary brush. My teeth feel and look noticably cleaner irrespective of how hard I have scrubbed with an ordinary brush.
The psychedelic aspect is its flashing lights, red lights flash apparently randomly during the cleaning process. Being a man I did not read the user's manual which came with the brush but I presume these red lights convey a message. I am content to let that pass me by while the brush meets its primary objective of cleaning my teeth. But do whatI say and not what I do, read the instructions.
Now the much reported upon battery issue. I have not counted the number of uses which flatten the battery. I have recharged twice since I bought it and it is currently blinking (green not red) beside me at present as it gets its third charge. The second charge delivered significantly more uses after the second charging than after the first. I put this down to the length of time the brush spent on the charger. Irrespective of the length of time I have left the brush on the charger the green light continued to flash.
On the first occasion I let it flash for 4 hours then assumed it must be charged in that time and put it back into use. It went flat rather sooner than I expected. On the second charge I set it on the charger before I went to work in the morning and when I came home 10 hours later it was still there and the green light was still flashing. I left it for another 2 hours making 12 in total and then put it to use again. I don't take my toothbrush to work and it seems to me that this daytime charging process is a good use of time, it can regain its strength during the hours I don't need to use it.
After this charge it worked well for many days until this morning when it unexpectedly ground to a halt. Perhaps one of the red flashes was warning me that this was imminent but the action of the brush didn't. One moment it was in full power, next it died, no gentle fade away like an electric shaver.
Finally the warnings.
Warning 1 - The charger is custom-made for the brush and it comes with a 2 pin plug. How many people these days have a 2 pin socket in the house? Even the old style 2 pin shaver sockets in bathrooms are dying out. I have an adaptor which I used last time I owned an electric toothbrush and have it rigged up to a lamp.
Warning 2 - I remember why I stopped using the last electric toothbrush, I lost the charger. Take care of your charger. The moderately good news is that the ancient brush seems to get a charge of sorts from this charging device.
