The whole Oral-B range are fantastic. This is the bottom of the top range. It has 2 'modes' so you might well ask yourself how many modes does a toothbrush need. We have a 2000, a 3000 and a 4000 in our house. So they all look the same, feel the same and the only difference is that the 4000 has 4 modes. I can honestly say that in the probably 2 months I have been using my 4000, I have never used anything but the basic mode.

The 2000 comes with a basic charger which is all you need. We have 4 Oral-B brushes in the house in total so we are rotate and use a single charger in the bathroom. The 4000 comes with a plastic case to hold your various heads and the 2000 and 3000 do not but we don't use the plastic thingy anyway.

The 2000 is fantastic and I see no reason to spend a penny more, let alone the tens of pounds more on the 4000 or 3000 model. The 2000 has the pressure indicator, a bright light that comes on if you press too hard. This is quite a useful feature. My teeth feel squeeky clean after using this toothbrush, exactly as much as after using the 4000 or the 3000.

They are all the same and the extra modes just get in the way so, if you want my opinion, get the 2000 and don't waste your money on anything posher.

The Braun Oral-B PRO 2000 is very good, although there isn't really anything that matters when it comes to choosing between it and the bottom of the range model, the Oral-B 600. If you have looked over the comparison chart to see which of the range to buy you might start to wonder which one will suit you, and since the blurb for them all is that typical fancy sales stuff you may find it all a little less than useful. So I will give a quick explanation of what you actually get.

At the bottom of the range is the Oral-B 600. It is pretty basic. It's more or less a rechargeable version of the old Braun Oral-B battery brushes with the addition of a built in timer, a time to recharge reminder light, and a pressure sensor. It does what it is supposed to and nothing more.

Next up is this model, the Oral-B PRO 2000. Which oddly enough is pretty much exactly the same. It is supposed to have the addition of 'Gum care' as a feature. Which doesn't really appear to mean anything.

The Oral-B PRO 3000 is the same as the PRO 2000 but with an extra replacement brush head.

The Oral-B PRO 4000 has a few more goodies. It comes with three different brush heads, but after trying them I can't seen any particular need to swap between what is effectively a hard, medium, and soft head. The medium one (which is what you get with the lower models) is perfectly fine. The machine also has several modes, which the lower models do not. You select the mode you want by pressing the on-off button to cycle through them. The default mode is the same as the lower models, and frankly, after trying the other modes a couple of times I found myself just using the default one all the time.

The PRO 2000 is probably all need from an electric toothbrush. Unlike some of the more expensive options from higher up the Oral-B range, the 2000 feels lightweight and slim in the hand - although still very well made. There are no fancy smiley-faced monitors nor plethora of cleaning options - just two, along with on/off. The brush has a small footprint in its charger and simply does its job without fuss.

I have been using Oral B electric toothbrushes for some 10 years now and I cannot fault them. For the price, the 2000 is money very well spent, with replacement heads on subscription from Amazon being quite reasonably priced (or if you're after even cheaper options, there are compatible heads available from various outlets).

The 2000 keeps things simple, but the brushing action is powerful enough to clean well, while gentle enough not to damage your gums, especially with the warning light to let you know to ease up on the pressure. The brush is light and nicely balanced in the hand. I really like the "deep clean" head - it's one I hadn't tried before and I prefer it to the trizone head that came with my previous Oral-B. The rotary action does a more thorough job and leaves my mouth feeling even fresher than before.

Excellent brush.

Design: Trizone Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
this is a really really good brush at a reasonable price for everyone who wants an every day toothbrush without the all singing all dancing extra features that alot of people just dont need. it has 2 settings daily clean (my favorite) and gum care for a gentler brushing experience (my husband uses that setting daily). the trizone brush is a really effective clean and is the closest to a manual brush as braun make, its bigger than the round heads but gets into small spaces and is not overly big and still fits nicely around your back teeth. It comes with one trizone brush head and the charger in the kit. it charges quickly and holds its charge well. The unit has a charge indicator so you can visually see when the brush needs a re-charge which is nice as with older brushes you could never tell until it ran out which was awful part way through a clean. The other new addition that i think is essential is the pressure light ,if you brush too hard the light on the back of the unit flashes to let you know , the light is visible even when not in front of the mirror and the timer will vibrate tree times giving timings of 30 seconds each for each quadrant in your mouth and again after a final 30 seconds to provide a 2 minute brush.the unit is small enough to transport with you anywhere
