This was what I asked for so I am pleased it arrived in good order. Thanks. I've said it all.

Another escellent booklet,on the important question of opening lead. The first card put down can seal the fate or ortherwise of a contract. Again each issue has been methodically looked at,and explained clearly

Very clearly written, easy to follow and with good examples. Only down side was small print size and one or two typos. Nevertheless, I am happy with this book and others in the series

The advice contained seems sound and is easy to digest. However I found the format unsatisfactory. It seems to be just a convenient re-publication of newspaper articles - so one page per 'lesson'. This is fine in itself but tends to spend too much time restating previous lessons (I guess because a previous newspaper article may be missed) and fails to have a good linking mechanism. No exercises, no index and very little in the way of summaries. At the very least I would like to see clear chapter titles (what is in the lesson), and some kind of summary/index at the end of each section.
The book is also small and doesn't feel great value. I felt I learnt something useful from the book, it's not expensive and is easy to read - so an overall B- in my view.

No doubt an absolutely excellent book for beginners, learners and intermediates alike. Bear in mind though, that both my books, and one of my partner's all fell apart after the first or second reading due to the binding splitting down the whole length of the spine, and the pages falling out. There are no details in the books of manufacture at all. It is such a pity that this problem detracts from an otherwise excellent book.
