Amy (6) loved this book and was delighted to be able to read it all by herself. It's about a girl called Lottie who eats so much cheese she turns into a mouse. Seemed to have the right blend of humour and simple vocabulary to keep a just-turned-six year old entertained.

My 6 year old son loved reading this book by himself. It has a very good balance of words and pictures for this age group. It is an imaginative, humorous and entertaining story and also carried the message that it is important to eat a balanced diet and vegetables. Highly recommended. Now looking for other books in the series and by same author.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun book and a great first reader! 24 Mar. 2008
By Gaia - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Ooh La La Lottie! is a fun book that is wonderful for that kindergarten child who would like to make the "jump" to chapter books. Chapters are about 4 pages long (about right), and the vocabulary is easy enough to sound out. I would highly suggest it for the parent of a kindergartener.
