There are many words that can seem so short but help to explain a city's allure. Paris is one of those magical places that means so much, to so many different people.
To me its one of my favourite destinations on earth. Be it strolling beside the River Seine on an autumn morning, the sun just glistening into view, and the cool morning air is punctuated by the sounds of coffee shops
being readied for the fresh forthcoming day. Or standing atop the Eiffel Tower in summer watching the horizon marry the clean blue sky whilst myriads of miniature people, hustle and bustle upon the streets below.
Its a city of enviable beauty, a place where you will find gems in every area. A place of contentment just to simply, be. In addition to this gorgeous top layer though is an hidden layer, where for the adventurous, your
stay in Paris will suddenly become, somewhat even more magical, memorable and special.
Paris is full of secrets and hidden spaces just ready to be explored and savoured like a an exquisite French wine. This is where Duncan's book comes in!
Written in a lively, evocative and highly readable way. Duncan has once again chosen nearly 100 sights for the intrepid traveller to search out, and by doing so gain an even greater appreciation and love for this
wonderful and romantic city. I can heartily recommend this new book, its wonderful and all the fabulous photos are taken by Duncan himself. If you are the kind of person who is craving for more of a city's history after going
on a guided tour, do yourself a massive favour and search out this book.
