LET me get straight to the point this was a system that was £1099 new. So with £350 off its a bargain and REAL bargain not made up..
Why the price reduction.. my guess its coming to end of life and a new model will soon be out.
Im an audophile and had 15 years ago a MERIDIAN 565 surround system and Tannoy D700s B&W SUB etc the lot cost me approximately £20k
This comes as close to the sound as i could of hoped for. You have to play around with the settings ive had it 2 days and still getting used to it but ..
WOW WHAT a sound.. deep rich base..
BUY IT before its GONE !
NO im not paid to write this im being honest.. I searched high and low for a review of this product and couldnt find one.. I actually bought an panasonic surround system. but changed my mind and im glad i did.
Its a true sounding HIFI for music and video..
AMAZING ! specially at £750 It took 2 men to lift the box into my home and had to have a special delivery.. The panasonic you can pick up and carry on your own that says it all.
After initially being very satisfied with this system, I started to have a problem with it. Now just less than two years on from purchasing it, the system no longer works. I paid almost 1000 euros for it, and right now, it's an expensive pile of junk. I cannot recommend anyone to buy this system.
More scarily, I have been trying for weeks for their Customer Service people to help me, as there is supposed to be a two year warranty. I have been asking Onkyo for information as to how together we can sort out whatever has gone wrong. The level of service is abysmal, with replies taking a minimum of 2 days, and my latest one is now nearly a WEEK old. I need help, and Onkyo are just not providing it.
I've since looked online and see that I'm FAR from being on my own at the lack of service. Seventy five percent of those who have or are still having problems are very disatisfied also. Not a great advert for a supposedly household brand is it?
All in all, most unsatisfactory, and I can only recommend that maybe it's best not to buy any Onkyo product, if this is all they can do. I'd award them ZERO out of five if I could

I was looking for the good quality home cinema and found the good compromise. The sound is great for cinema and TV. However the music sounds a bit artificial, the sub woofer gives not clear bass. It is easy to install due to the cable codes and good manual. Surround is amazing and give good stereo effect.
Overall, it is a good compromise for quality/price and with a good tuning it shows good performance. Recommend to buy
An incredible speaker system with a great amplifier. I'm still finding new features a month later. Definitely an investment as far as price is concerned, but worth every single penny if you value top quality, cinema-standard audio. The speakers themselves are enormous, so I'd recommend checking the dimensions to make sure you can accommodate them properly. The sub-woofer is also very large and very capable.
Be prepared to buy some better speaker cable, though. The included stuff is rubbish and you don't get a lot of it. I bought some fairly middle of the road "£2 per meter" cable from a local audio store and it sounds great.
