This album is the must-have Christmas album of the year!
Stand-out tracks on this CD include: 'The First Noel' - Whitney Houston's soothing voice does this gentle track justice, the traditional favourite 'The Christmas Song' with its laid back, easy listening feel, 'One Wish', which is an excellent ballad, and finally my personal favourite 'Deck The Halls/Silent Night' which has been given an upbeat feel that works really well - I could certainly see this song being played at a few Christmas Parties!

Despite what some may say This christmas album is the best.Whitney truly puts her stamp on these traditional xmas songs with that Beautiful majestic powerful Voice.she puts soul and R&b and fiery gospel into each song and this album came out during the time of her struggles but she still had that Voice.this album has class doesnt contain cheesy takes on xmas songs which certainly you wont get from Ms.Houston.O holy night is for me the ultimate version to listen to from this supremely beautiful lady that was Whitney Houston she owns that song.dont get why this album is underrated when to me its the best xmas album.

I have been a whitney houston fan, since the day she released her first single,me and whitney go way back.I have bought every album she has made, video's DVD's,and have been to see her 3 times in concert. However,i am afraid to have to tell you, that this is the worst christmas album i have ever listened to,and i can't believe it was her that had to be the one to make it.It is absolutely awful, except for one song, and that is the title song,'One Wish'.I was very dissapointed, because whitney has such a beautiful voice, yet she does drag her songs out, warbling,i call it.Instead of just getting on with the song.It is very dissapointing,to say the least. If she had sung the rest of the album, like 'one wish',it would have been perfect. If you want to buy the perfect christmas album, and you happen to be a fan of Celine Dion, then go out and buy 'These are special times' it is fantastic! and there is not one bad song on it,you will love it,trust me.As for whitney ,i will certainly not be rushing out to buy her next album,if it is anything like 'one wish'.My advice to anyone who is thinking of buying it,is,go to the shop, and listen to a few tracks first,or forget it.I think whitney has lost the plot!

Whitney's voice is a rain of diamonds! She takes the songs and fly them to the moon and back! I absolutely recommend this album to anyone who wants to hear and feel the greatest time of year through the greatest voice of all time!

This album was released in 2003 but has some tracks from 1996. I am a fan of Whitney and bought this after her death to add to my xmas collection. I was very disappointed that her voice had obviously suffered from the drug abuse following her relationship with Brown. She has lost part of the vocal range she had at the start of her career, her range sounds 'compressed'. There is some colouring in her voice that detracts from the enjoyment of most of the songs. The album also sounds over engineered to try and compensate for the deterioration in her voice.

I wish she had recorded this album 10 years earlier. Very disappointed.

Absolutely love this album. Whitney's vocals and intrepretation of the songs were great and emotional. Worth every penny. This should be in your collection whether a fan or not.
There is "ONLY 1 WHITNEY HOUSTON!"

Not the best from Miss Houston but never the less its still a gr8t album. If ur a Whitney fan then it is essential. This is her most recent release. Best tracks include One Wish, Cantigue De Noel, Deck the Halls, Silent night and Who would imagine a king, which is from the 1996 Preacher's Wife soundtrack album. Overall, this is a good album for the holidays (xmas) and her smooth voice does the songs justice. 4/5.
