Margaret thought that she’d made a life for herself in the city. Being a hotshot surgeon with a long-term boyfriend, she was finally away from the backwoods town where she’d struggled to fit in. When it all comes crashing down on her she finds herself back where she started and continually thrown into the company of the tormentor from her childhood, Joe Wilde. In the process of trying to get rid of Joe, she agrees to work with his son’s horse and builds a strong friendship with the boy, and falls in love with his arrogant father.
This is a romance with a high emotional factor. Margaret’s attention to the horses is just beautiful and a love affair on its own. Her sensitivity towards the pain of the horse, Storm, enriches her character making the reader love her more. When you add a lonely, confused teenaged boy to the mix the emotions are ratcheted up even higher. The kid had me in tears. Joe, on the other hand, is arrogant, obnoxious, and not really a catch at all. I actually wanted to see her get it on with Logan, Joe’s big brother. I am hoping to see more of him in the next book in the series.

Margaret meets Joe Wilde again after many years away from her granddads ranch. Things went wrong for her, she was a brain surgeon, when a simple mistake ended her career and a small boy was severely injured. She goes home to her granddads ranch that he left her in his will. Margaret has issues she needs to work on alone but ,things change suddenly as Joe's sons has problems with his horse. Near tragic accident brings Margaret and Joe together, only to rip them apart gain. Strong storyline the characters blend together to give an exciting romantic interlude. Relationship status changes again , they are married and hopefully work to have a long happy life together.

A Great story line with lots of tension and lots of tears, but most importantly a happy ending. Look forward to the next book in the series.
