Thanks God for the return of The Darkness!
In an ages of bands where every song sounds the same (The Killers, Franz Ferdiand etc...) what we need is some completely OTT, true Rock And Chuffing Roll!
And so, the Spandex Clad ones from Lowestoft are back, with this storming title track single from the forthcoming album, One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back (28/11/05)
One Way Ticket is a storming track, featuring some amazing guitarwork, a real pump your fists in the air kinda song. Lyricly it's highly entertaining too!
As for the B-Side? it's also great! As you might guess form it's title, it tells the tale of a man who doesn't treat the ladies particularly well, and is a bit of a.. yeah. Awesome charging guitarwork too!
Being serious now, if you like The Darkness already then you'll love this single. If you're not yet a Darkling then i'd advise you to check it out.
Hail to the Kings Baby.. Hail, Hail!

It seems like ages since the darkness first burst on to the airwaves. Now there back nad this new single is to me like a breath of fresh air in an increasing stale market. yes you can argue its unorignal, talentless etc etc. But most importantlythis cd is fun and a joy to listen to. Can,t wait for the album

What a stonking return. After not releasing any new material since Xmas 2003 (nigh on 2 years ago), they're first single rocked my socks off. Lets hope this is a reflection of the album - if this single and their live shows last year are anything to go by, the album will be amazing.
