Until recently I found Pinter very hard work in the theatre, however now I can't get enough of his brilliant crafted plays!
One for the Road is a short piece but it packs a huge emotional punch. It deals with the subject of torture in a very direct (but not graphic) way. It is a series of conversations between an interrogator and his 'clients'. Shot with black humour, the text makes you shiver with the underlying brutality of the situation.
